Wow! I have this old boat I bought and I needed a little work on the motor. I had never done business with Athens Marine before. These guys were polite, friendly, helpful, and easy-going.... at the same time professional and experienced. They had my boat ready in just a few days and the tab was much less that I had expected. I was really impressed by this place. They just got themselves a new regular customer. It's been a while since I have encountered customer service this good. A+++++++

When the chuckleheads at work thought that cleaning up the office meant throwing away the keys to the work boat, Athens Marine helped us obtain new keys from the switch code numbers. When we got the keys, the motor wouldn't start only a few days from when we needed to mobilize. Athens Marine tore down the motor and overnited parts to have us running again in 24hours. Successful field work completed on schedule thanks to Athens Marine.

I dropped my boat off for a carb tune. I had taken the motor cover off to allow easy access, as I had done in the past when I brought my boat to them. A few minutes after I left I noticed dark clouds on the horizon. I immediately called and the owner's son answered. I explained that I had removed the cover, as well as the flame arrestor, was worried it was going to rain into the motor and offered to come back and cover it. He told me that someone had already covered it up. I asked if he was sure because I had just left the lot. He assured me that it was covered and safe. Four days later I

Would be a 5. Been using them for many years for anything I needed done on my boat and motor. Took it in for service this year. Spent $700. Everything fine except boat has a new dent in the back that they tried to cover up with paint that doesnât quite match. They lost my business. I would have been fine if they had just admitted what they did instead of trying to cover it up

Husband & I are in the market for a boat. Stopped by this location a couple of days ago. Lady at front desk directed us outside & stated there were a few under the awning & a couple of those have apps. She also stated a couple out back were available. We walked outside looked around and as we were on our way back up to the awning area a young man approached and asked what we were doing. I explained and repeated what the lady at the front desk stated. He said there are no boats in the back for sale and the ones under the awnings have apps. He was a bit condescending and made us feel uncomfortable

The guys at Athens Marine are the best in the business. They are extremely responsive and professional and great to work with. I captain for the Clarke Central fishing team and it takes a lot to keep a boat in tournament shape week in and week out. The folks at Athens Marine get us back on the water quickly.

Called and asked person that answered phone if they carried 25W40 synthetic oil in quarts. (needed only 2) He respectively said no, did not carry in stock but would gladly order me a couple quarts if I needed them. So I asked do I need to pre-order? Employee said no need he would go ahead & order & I could pick up in a couple days. I followed through & showed up like I said I would. Asked the younger gentleman behind the counter if they had gotten a shipment of synthetic quarts or if it was held for me in the back. He completely acted like I was ignorant & I no idea what I was talking

Owner Jeff was truly a professional when it comes to service and personality. I really enjoyed my experience getting my boat fully detailed and tuned up. The appearance of my boat was terrible with dirt and mildew stains when I brought it to Athens Marine and they made it look incredible. I highly recommend Jeff and his team at Athens Marine.
