Bracken Mental Health was founded in 2002 by Jill Bracken D.O. with the vision of creating a medical practice that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate medical professionals will ease your fears. A doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) is a fully trained and licensed doctor who has attended and graduated from a U.S. osteopathic medical school.
A doctor of medicine (M.D.) has attended and graduated from a conventional medical school. The major difference between osteopathic and allopathic doctors is that some osteopathic doctors provide manual medicine therapies, such as spinal manipulation or massage therapy, as part of their treatment. After medical school, both M.D.s and D.O.s must complete residency training in their chosen specialties.

I've been a patient here for years now. I wasn't originally diagnosed here, but moved and started up here to continue my previous medication management. I explained my diagnosis and symptoms to Dr. Bracken, and I discussed that my previous medication had worked pretty well for me, but that I was curious about trying other options since my previous doctor was strict about the brand he prescribed. She discussed the options and side effects and facilitated trying the different medications until I decided which worked best for me. I appreciate that she is patient in discussing medications, concerns

I went to Jill for about a year and had many problems with her. She was dismissive of my concerns when I told her I was tested for ADHD at a different facility and my prescribed dosage was too low. She also stated that everyone has some symptoms of autism when I told her I thought I might have it instead of helping me figure out how to get diagnosed and on the correct medicine. My last straw was when I asked to be taken off of appetite suppressants because I'd developed disordered eating habits and she commented that I didn't look underweight. Very unprofessional and unconcerned.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PSYCHIATRIST! i went for two years and my final breaking point was when i wore a crop top and jeans in. i came from lunch with friends and was feeling cute for once, then not only were her first words to me “are you comfortable in that?,” BUT SHE FORBADE ME FROM WEARING ANYTHING LIKE IT AGAIN so her front office man wouldn’t be “distracted”. she said i probably dress like “that” due to my mental diagnosis (i’m bipolar), and completely shamed me for what i was wearing. i was calling new psychiatrists FROM THE PARKING LOT. it has now been 2 months and my mental health

I’ve been a patient of Dr Braken few many years and absolutely love her and her staff. Recently my sons teacher mentioned issues with focus and staying on task, which came as no surprise to my husband and I. I felt the evaluation she did was rather thorough and insightful. We were extremely happy with the medication options she presented and my son is thriving like never before!!

I did not even get to see this doctor. I tried to make an appointment more than once and I was told I’d get a call back. I never did. Eventually, I made one through the online portal. The receptionist said he’d let me know when he received my paperwork and information, but he never did. After six months went by I decided to try again. On the day of my appointment, I unfortunately had a flat, I couldn’t even go to work. I messaged to reschedule and knew that I’d probably have to pay 25$ for cancelling last minute. Instead, he told me because I had missed “two” appointments, he couldn’t
