Draper Center is Western New York's premier dance academy. Come see why we're considered one of the most distinguished dance training & ballet schools in the United States. Located in Monroe County, we are the official training school for Rochester City Ballet, Rochester's premiere professional ballet company.
The children's division is a prelude to formal ballet instruction. These dance classes introduce children to musicality and movement through creativity and group interaction. Creative Movement is tailored for ages 3 and 4, and Pre-Ballet for ages 5 and 6. At the end of Pre-Ballet, students will have a strong foundation in place to advance into the Student Division.

The Student Division provides our students with superior quality training. With a focus on classical ballet, this division is grounded in technique with an emphasis on creating a well rounded dancer. Dance classes in the student division are carefully graded by age, physical strength, and understanding of each level's curriculum.

Not only is this the main origin of professional ballet dancers in Rochester, it also offers very approachable and affordable classes for beginners. The studios are well maintained and the teachers are professional and really understand how to both dance beautifully and ensure that your form is safe for your body.

The Timothy M Draper Center for Dance Education is amazing place to dance because I dance there so take my word for it. Draper is the feeder school so if you do go threw all the way to the end of Draper's level you might be asked to be in the Rochester City Ballet. I hope that someday I'll get into that. As a paid professional.
