We believe that studying dance makes a life-long impression on an individual. Through the process of learning traditional, classical ballet and dance, our students grow into hardworking and confident young people with the ability to exhibit grace and poise in every facet of their lives. My daughter has been attending Finger Lakes Ballet Academy since the spring of 2013 (and we have never looked back)!
Cathy is amazing- she, and the instructors are caring and accomplished in their own right. Jaime, Alicia, and Todd are wonderful, dedicated, passionate, and patient. Most importantly they understand where each dancer should be in a discipline, and they work with that dancer to help them to reach their full potential.

Services
FLBA teaches primarily a Vaganova syllabus, with influences of Royal Ballet (French method) and Cecchetti. Some of our other disciplines include ballet as a requirement. This is because we believe the core skills a dancer obtains in ballet are beneficial to all other dance styles. Proper dance attire is important in enhancing a productive learning environment in dance class.
Modern dance draws from a variety of sources, such as ballet, folk dances, and social dances. It has been redefined multiple times since it was initially founded. Our Modern classes are a fusion of many styles- including Bartenieff Fundamentals (developed by Irmgard Bartenieff), floor work, and improvisation.
