Services
The main emphasis of the Tiger-Rock Cubs program is to provide the instruction, structure, and environment to enhance the development of children between the ages of 4-5. This specialized program is focused on the particular needs of this age including physical maturation, coordination, social skills, self concept, attention span, mental acuity, safety awareness, and self discipline.
Youth really love to participate in this highly energetic, fun, and functional activity. More importantly youth at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts engage in the activities that help improve their cognitive, social, and motor skills during the most important developmental stages of their lives. Tiger-Rock Taekwondo is a perfect activity that blends the advantages of both art and athletics.
Nobody sits on the bench in our program! Our Junior Taekwondo Martial Arts program offers daily lessons starting around the age of 6. At Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Irmo students are frequently asked to attain new levels both physically and emotionally. Our atmosphere, though challenging, is one of accomplishment through individual development.
We start with our core Taekwondo art. Adults immediately feel the energy and power that comes from movements that involve kicking, punching, turning and striking. Dramatic changes occur over time that you could not imagine possible. Greater flexibility, faster response times, improved concentration all translate into the ability to make everyday life easier both at home and at work.

We looked at different schools for martial arts and let our children choose. After their first visit, they were hooked and committed to train before leaving. A year later, we have seen the kids develop both physically, emotionally and mentally. Tiger Rock instructors quickly instilled a sense of accomplishment, purpose and discipline, in a fun goal oriented environment. We’ve also joined a community of interest where we share in the growth and development of all the kids in the class.

What a wonderful school. My child not only learned self-defense but he also learned a whole like more such as integrity, respect, honor, leadership, and confidence. Soon after joining Tiger Rock I could see the difference in my child's confidence level. He went from being a C student to an all "A's" honors roll student. I would highly recommend this school. The instructors are great and teach proper Taekwondo Techniques. Be advised this school is not a daycare; it's a real martial arts academy.

We love, love Tiger Rock of Irmo! Instructors not only emphasize execution of martial art skills, but they also encourage their students toward academic success and life-long character traits such as discipline, integrity, and courtesy. My daughter started taking Tae Kwon Do at Tiger-Rock earlier this year. The instructors are a perfect blend of firm/stern/patient/kind. If my daughter or another child wasn't paying attention or broke a rule, the instructor was always very quick to correct them, but never in a way that ever offended me as a parent. They truly want their pupils to succeed. I highly recommend Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Irmo.

Best decision I've made, enrolling my son at their academy!! The instructors are very nice and professional. In the year that he has been there, my son has learned discipline, motivation and focus. Since I joined Tiger Rock of Irmo about 18 months ago I have become more confident, more athletic, and more driven in school and life in general. TRMA of Irmo is always clean, the class times are convenient, and the instructors are always friendly, patient, and helpful. The other students are nice and encouraging. Every day I attend class at Tiger Rock I am pushed physically and mentally, I joined Tiger Rock to learn self defense, but I got much more.

Our 10 year old son Tony is in his third year of training at Tiger Rock of Irmo. We could not be more pleased with the curriculum and the instructors. They provide the perfect balance between discipline and encouragement. If you are looking for a place where your child can build confidence, improve manners and respect, and become more disciplined, all while having fun, making new friends, and getting great exercise, we highly recommend bringing them to Tiger Rock of Irmo. My son Kendrick has been at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Irmo for almost 3 yrs now.My husband and I sent Kendrick to the academy for fitness and to build his confidence and courage.He has definitely meet his goals and more thanks to the instructors at the academy.
