Since our establishment in 2006, The Academy of Russian Ballet has quickly become recognized as one of the preeminent ballet schools in Northern Virginia. Our students have won awards at Youth America Grand Prix sixteen years in a row, have performed at International Festivals, and are being accepted to top National and International ballet programs including the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia, the John Cranko School in Germany, and the Royal Ballet School in London.
Our Directors, Yuri and Jasmine Nikitenko are three time recipients of the "Outstanding Teacher Award" at Youth America Grand Prix in 2019, 2020, and 2021.ARB provides its students with a complete classical training program instructed by a renowned, international faculty. Our students are provided with ample professional performance experience in which they perform most roles and share the stage with international guest artists.

Services
The Academy of Russian Ballet is proud to have TWO locations in Northern Virginia. We have studios in both Manassas and Herndon. Students generally take classes at one location, but always have the option to take classes or makeup classes at both locations. Advanced, Intermediate and Junior Intensive Dates - 6 Weeks of Classes! Our goal at ARB during the summer is to provide an opportunity for students to focus on developing their technique and artistry. The intensity of training everyday allows students to gain flexibility, strength and develop proper "muscle memory".

Formerly CBT, the new owners and directors, Jasmine and Yuri Nikitenko, are continuing the wonderful legacy created here and growing and expanding the program. The amazing and dedicated teachers provide top quality Vaganova ballet training to students of all ages. Their performances are professional quality and held at The Hylton Performing Arts Center.

My daughter has been dancing with ARB since the summer of 2019. I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff and training. The directors are knowledgable, supportive, professional, nurturing, and very approachable. As a former dancer, these qualities are super hard to find, especially when they have all of the above. In addition, my daughter has had so many opportunities to grow as a dancer with ARB. Lots of performance opportunities, which she has really enjoyed. Highly recommend ARB!

I highly, highly recommend Classical Ballet Theatre. My daughter has taken ballet classes at CBT for three years now, and we have been met with nothing but warmth, encouragement, and welcome by the lovely teachers there. All the classes are structured, engaging, and age-appropriate. And as a parent, I am extremely happy with CBT's highly esteemed faculty and staff, the well-developed curriculum, the challenging summer programs, the philanthropic community outreach, and the marvelous productions. CBT is the gold standard for ballet instruction in the Reston/Herndon area. The faculty members have demonstrated time and again in the over five years that my daughter has been a student that they genuinely care about her and her success - but more importantly, with her overall welfare. My daughter has grown as a dancer and as a person as a result of this studio. The curriculum is thorough and professional and has prepared my child to compete (and succeed) at the national level.
