Ms. Muscat Hegab is the Founder of Virginia National Ballet, and has devoted her entire career to the arts, as a performer, teacher, and administrator. Under her leadership, Virginia National Ballet has quickly become an important cultural institution in Northern Virginia.
The School was voted Best of NOVA 2017 in Northern Virginia Magazine, and offers outstanding instruction with excellent faculty in many dance forms as well as music, and students have the advantage of performing annually at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in The Nutcracker and the Spring Recital, alongside professional dancers and famous guest artists.

We can't thank you and Rafik enough for giving our daughter such a wonderful ballet education filled with great opportunities. You provide such a fantastic environment that develops their skills in such an encouraging and positive way. She truly, truly loves it. She's constantly at her barre doing her combinations and stretches, always asking what ballet production we are going to see next.

What a wonderful studio for dancers to learn, grow, and love dance! Virginia National Ballet offers top-notch instruction in a variety of genres for children of any age. Each year, I am pleased with how smoothly performances run and am amazed by how much my daughter learns. There is a reason VNB is full of loyal families who will never leave the studio - VNB is the best!

My daughter grew up dancing for VNB, and it was there she learned much more than just technique. She gained confidence, forged amazing friendships, and learned to work hard towards a common goal. She has since earned her BFA in Performing Arts at Radford University and returned to VNB to perform with their Company and teach for their school. She continues to grow and improve!

After a poor experience at another ballet school in Vint Hill, my three daughters have absolutely loved VA National. Instructors require attentiveness, give clear and helpful critiques, and show genuine caring. My teens adore their teachers and feel they've learned a great deal. The environment is completely devoid of favoritism or competition; the school is run on respect and it makes a world of difference. The communication and organization are excellent, and I appreciate that both the Managing and Artistic Directors have a strong background and genuine interest in the arts. Highly recommend

Great atmosphere that provides a high quality dance instruction that focuses both on technique and having fun. My three daughters really enjoy performing at The GMU Hylton Theater and have developed healthy friendships through Virginia National Ballet. The atmosphere is not one of competition amongst the students but rather of friendship , encouragement, and support of each other that is being passes from one generation to the next.

My young daughter and I saw the Virginia National Ballet's Nutcracker at the Hylton Center two years ago. It was FANTASTIC! We had picked their show because it worked with my schedule. We saw another ballet company's Nutcracker at the Hylton Center the following year. I liked Virginia National Ballet's production better. The choreography, sets and dancers were all very impressive. This year I registered my daughter for ballet at Virginia National Ballet after going to a different organization last year.
