David Basar, DDS, provides comprehensive general dentistry services at Advanced Smile Dentistry in Toms River, New Jersey. Dr. Basar earned his Bachelor of Medical Sciences (B.MSc) at Western University in London, Ontario. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree at New York University.
Here at Advanced Smile Dentistry, we love meeting new patients. Part of easing your concerns is explaining what you can expect from our practice. When you are new to our office, we put in the effort to provide you with a positive and comforting experience. Once you have been with us for a while, you can continue to expect the highest level of service.
Root canals are needed when decay and bacteria spread for too long without treatment. At a certain point, this decay makes it to the pulp inside the tooth. This pulp includes nerves, therefore infection generally causes a lot of pain. Since this is happening on the inside of the tooth, you won't necessarily see the damage.

Went for a checkup due to pain in one of my upper right molars. Setup was easy and the people at the desk are very nice. I was informed on my treatment options and unfortunately that day had to pass due to insurance issues.
Once I got that all worked out they were patient with me Calling back and forth resetting up appointments.
I have really bad anxiety and honestly the root canal I had done was super quick and easy I was relaxed while it was being done and afterwards. (and being out of pain helps aswell)
For now 5 stars Thankyou!

This was my first time going to this office and I had the best experience. I had a tooth pulled. Dr. Basar and his staff were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Basar is very skilled at what he does. I felt no pain and he made sure I wasn’t in any discomfort during my procedure. I have definitely found my new dentist.
