Greenacres Memorial Park
At Green Acres Memorial Park, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time. We have a wide range of resources to support you not only today, but in the weeks and months to come.
Services
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).

Green Acres Memorial park was founded in 1947 as a nonsectarian cemetery and is the only cemetery in the area that has perpetual care established under the State of Texas Department of Banking. In conformity with State Cemetery Laws, a percentage of each lot sale is deposited in an irrevocable trust fund which provides upkeep of each lot forever. Families will never be asked to pay any dues or assessments for upkeep.

The cemetery did appear in good condition with a very presentable entrance gate. The headstones and property were well maintained.

I noticed the "Lightfoot Cemetery" off

Extremely poor management. This park is not well cared for. There are problems with the mausoleum. There are problems with the lawn crypts. Be advised if you use this cemetery you will only be able to mark the grave with a bronze on granite marker. These are very expensive markers. Management is not responsive to the concerns of their families. Spare yourself the grief. Find another option!

Find another place where to bury your loved ones. This cemetery will remove everything you bring your loved ones, the very next day, even artificial flowers, wreaths, crosses..READ the contract before you buy a plot. Find another place where they allow you to bring your loved ones all the flowers they deserve, artificial or real.
