Services
Half-Pint is learning, having fun, and understanding how to truly enjoy life. Our kids welcome the day with a smile every morning when they walk into school, and leave exhausted from all of the fun they've had with their friends and teachers. Half-Pint has been open for just about eighteen years, and each year has been a joy for owner and director Jodi Epstein.
Children who feel good about themselves will be more willing to learn and take on new challenges. Our curriculum focuses on the child and their self-confidence. Self-confidence grows out of successful experiences! Our program will provide the kinds of experience that will enhance each child's development.
Our Infant Room at Half-Pint provides children six weeks to eighteen months a warm and caring atmosphere where our babies receive individual attention as well as social experiences. We follow each child's individual schedule in preparation for our Young Preschool Room. Our infants enjoy songs, games, outside play (when the weather permits), using art to learn fine motor skills, and learning sign language to help promote their language skills.
Our Young Preschool Classroom serves children ages eighteen months to about two and a half to three years of age. We follow a daily schedule that consists of music, stories, play, art, and other enriching activities, including fine motor activities and sign language. In Young Preschool, our kids build language skills, independence, peer development, and potty train in preparation for our Preschool Room.
Our Preschool program teaches children two and a half to four years of age all the skills they will need to succeed in our Pre-Kindergarten Room. In our Preschool room, our goal for the children is to develop more of an attention span, social and classroom skills, academics and self-confidence through a variety of age appropriate activities.
