I am so disappointed about my botched dress alteration. I chose this place because my husband had a cut shirt- baseball sewn here. Despite the unfortunate nature of a baseball stitch it was done tight, neat and on the spot. I thought it spoke volumes about their skill set.

I love the work they do here. I have come in here multiple times with dresses that need HELP, and I have always got a smiling face helping me and a dress that is exactly what I need! Only thing is sometimes the language barrier can be an issue and you just have to give them a stern deadline of when you need your items. But besides those two things, love them and they are my go-to place

Unfortunately, I have to edit my review from 5 stars to now the mandatory one. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I came in to have my undergarment altered. I was measured and I was told that I needed to be there while my garment was being altered because it needed to be cut. I had a doctor's appointment scheduled for 12 PM so I could not wait on the garment to be altered. She told me that she would hold the garment for me and she will alter it when I came back. That was fine with me, I told her I would be back at 1 PM. I got back at 1 PM and there was this lady there who spoke not one word

Last week I discovered that my bridesmaid dress ordered months ago did not fit. No way to alter it to make it fit. Found Shirley & Frida Seamstress on Monday and went in and met with Antonina. From scratch...design, buying material, making the dress...she had it completed in 3 days!!! It was perfect and looked like a dress from a high end designer. I received no less than 50 compliments on my dress - no exaggeration. Antonina will be making all my dresses from here on out. I cannot say enough positive about my experience. If I could give 100 stars I would. You are in good hands with this shop

Told them I would return to pick up my pants at 3pm and she said they would be done. When I returned the next day at 3pm they were on an hour lunch until 4pm, which is totally fine. Except when I returned at 4 they were not there and I waited 45 minutes before leaving. Tried calling 15 times, and the lines were busy. When I finally returned at 5 the girl at the front was on the phone talking to someone she knew and they said they didn't return at 4 because they were at the bank. Poor customer service.

I had a wedding to go to this weekend, but I was working up until the day I left. I tried on my dress and I noticed that it was a little too loose in the back. My boyfriend called the business up at 9pm, not realizing they were closed. The lady tells us to come anyway and she would alter my dress tonight. She opened up her doors after close, alters my dress in a matter of minutes, and charges such a great price. I was so appreciative and shocked by such awesome customer service. It's rare to see businesses go the extra mile and she definitely did tonight!

I hate giving low rating but this one deserves it. Normally I would go to my tailor in San Antonio but I figured this was more convenient for a pair of pants. Give her more than a week to do the work. I come today (Saturday) to pick up my pants since they will be closed Sunday and I really need them by Monday night. Well the shop was closed with a note on the door. No phone call prior to my drive here or anything. I wish I was warned that they would be closed today. Also I was a little shocked to find out I have to pay before I even get my stuff alternated. Why would I pay for a job they hasn&apos

They did a really great job! Took in a dress and it was unnoticeable! The price was very reasonable! It took over a month so make sure you bring it in way ahead of time. Also, it seems very disorganized inside and she shows you dresses asking which is yours (since she doesn't keep tabs on them), so if it were something expensive like a wedding dress, I wouldn't trust the system since anyone could probably claim the dress.

Absolutely do not come to this place. I would recommend finding pretty much anywhere else for your alteration needs. I came in, dropped off my wedding dress and was told it would be ready in a week. I should have listened to my gut feeling when I saw someone else come in only to be told their alterations were not complete, but I didn't and reluctantly left my dress due to this place getting such great reviews. I arrived a week later to pick up my dress and was told that it wasn't ready and I would need to wait 20 minutes. Thirty minutes later she came out and tried to give me the WRONG

I decided to give this shop a try for last min alterations for a bridesmaids dress and my wedding dress. I had original alterations done in San Antonio but was not happy with the results, so I brought my dress with me for a consultation. Antonina was very helpful and basically said the work that was done on the dress was "very bad work." She immediately opened up the bodice and saw what the problem was. She offered a solution and had it done in a week. I'm very happy with the work! Don't be alarmed if the shop is in disarray, she does great work. Highly recommend. Very happy

I was having a graduation dress emergency and I need my dress altered. While on my way to another tailor, I saw this place and pulled in. When I walked in she was hand making a wedding dress so I knew this place was a good choice. I asked her to take a look at my dress and see if she could possibly finish by Monday. She told me to try it on and when I came out she literally started fixing it right away on my body. She finished in 10 minutes!!! After she was done I asked her how much and she said however much I think is right. WHHHHATT?! I gave her $15 cause she is awesome.
