City Center Ballet, with deep regret, has decided that we will not be able to present a 2021 Holiday Performance of Clara's Dream, a nutcracker story. We had hoped that we would be able to present a modified production that accommodated pandemic restrictions and had begun preparations to do so, but the reality is that it is not possible to move forward at the present time.

We of course are deeply disappointed to have to make this announcement, and we know that this news may be an even deeper disappointment to our dancers, their families, and our audience. We are exploring other, smaller, ways in which we can acknowledge the Holiday Season while observing the limitations placed on all of us by the ongoing health crisis.

Tom had two daughters who were active as City Center Ballet dancers between 1998 and 2004. In that time, he came to appreciate the unbelievable opportunity the Company offers to our community by offering performance opportunities to dancers and audiences alike. He serves on the board to help preserve this treasure.

It’s the best school that you could go to. Linda Cop teaches impeccable technique, discipline, and perseverance. Her daughter Jennifer Henderson teaches the same components but in her own way and they both cover ballet, pointe, and character. Jennifer Guess has trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre on full scholarship ship and teaches modern based own Horton technique. Another one of their tremendous teachers is Susan Lamontagne who danced on Broadway starring in several of shows, and danced with Fosse. Susan teaches mainly jazz and musical theater but also teaches ballet.

Wonderful costumes, sets, and the dancing is splended!
