I grew up dancing at LBS, and graduated from the program in 2006, then was able to put myself through college through dance scholarships, thanks to the excellent training I received. This school shaped my self confidence, discipline, and future health in a way that I don't think I could have gotten anywhere else.

I have been involved with LBS for quite some time. Two daughters learned ballet there, and each had different and wonderful experiences. While they both took ballet very seriously, for one it was the center of her life for quite a few years, while for the other ballet was a diversion from the stresses of academic work. They both benefited from the… high level of professionalism and discipline. We now have a 5 y/o granddaughter attending, and I am pretty sure her experience will be different at well. The point is that this is a wonderful program that is very serious about ballet, while it

Linda and Susan have been instrumental in my growth as an adult dancer. This school is dedicated to each student as if you were paying for a private lesson. Both have been such an amazing support for my journey and want nothing but dedication to the craft from those who are willing to put in the hard work. In almost 2 years, I went from never taking a dance class in my life and being a musical theatre “mover” to dancing with confidence and grace. Even if you are looking for a workout, these women cater to all ages and craft each class to the difficulty level in the room, but never make you

My daughter Marya trained at LBS for her entire school career. She got excellent training in the fundamentals. The school adheres to traditional practices -- students must show up on time, in proper attire and ready to work -- but I think that most kids understand that this means that an adult is paying serious attention, and I think kids crave this. The performance opportunities are outstanding, too. This place is, as they say, the real deal, and an amazing resource.

My daughter joined the Teen class at Lebanon Ballet School after being away from ballet for a few years. We chose LBS specifically for this class geared towards older, returning ballet students and first time teen ballet dancers, even though the school is an hour and a half away from where we live. It has been a wonderful experience for my daughter. She has learned so much in the last six months. This school is the real thing - real technique and real skills (with the vocabulary to go with it). My daughter has also benefited from the increased confidence that comes with approaching a difficult

I studied at this ballet school for almost 10 years and I don't think it gets better. The skills I learned at LBS have helped me in every part of my life. I learned discipline, respected, and compassion. And beyond that, I came in to dance without any flexibility or coordination and now, I am in the most Advanced level of dance at my high school. I don't think there is a ballet school as good as this and the friends I made at LBS are still my closest friends today. Thank you LBS!

One user said that they felt the staff was not good with little kids, which doesn't square with our experience at all -- our daughter started there around the age of 5, and the staff were very good with the little 'uns. They do uphold high (but age-appropriate) standards, and maintain the traditions (e.g., long hair must be in a bun). Some parents see this as overly restrictive, but most children understand that this means that they're serious -- and kids absolutely crave serious adult attention. As for not being late, well, that's part of the tradition too. In fact, when my daughter was older

Excellent school - My daughter has been with this school for 8 years. She has had exceptional performance opportunities and high quality technical training. Dancers from this school go on to very prestigious dance programs. The instruction the students receive is age appropriate, supportive, and creative.

After I was placed by a pleasant staff in class when I wanted to start dance classes three years ago, I've been extremely satisfied with the quality of training I've received. After just one full year of dance, I was accepted into my first ballet summer intensive with Burklyn Ballet, and the next summer went to Interlochen Arts Intensive (ballet major). My peers who have danced longer than I, have gone to places for summer and/or full-year training at Miami City Ballet, Ellison Ballet (NYC), Alvin Ailey, and many other prestigious programs. In addition to the training, my experience learning the

I have known Linda and her crew for many years. I know they have put their heart into this. They provide big city quality in a little town. My daughter danced for 12 years. She quitted not because LBS was a bad place, but because she had been doing it for me all along! Linda is a true traditional ballet instructor. And ballet despite the soft look of it needs serious commitment. Even though my daughter didn't have the love of ballet in her heart, she still got the wonderful body and posture that Linda gave her for life.

My daughter was a student at Lebanon Ballet School for 12 years. She received an excellent dance education in a nurturing environment. Because of the training she received she auditioned and was accepted into competitive summer dance intensives at Boston Ballet and Alvin Ailey Dance Theater. Being a company member of City Center Ballet gave her numerous performance opportunities where she progressed to the role of principal dancer. She is currently pursuing her BFA in Dance at Point Park University in Pittsburgh and hopes to dance professionally after college.
