Footsteps Child Care, Inc. provides infants, children, youth and their families with quality programs in a safe, nurturing and enriching environment, through caring and professional staff and family involvement. We support families by providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to engage in out of school time while their parents can focus on working, taking college courses, etc.
Services
We acknowledge children know how to learn, we are there to support their learning experience. Learning occurs anywhere and anytime. We purposefully observe what the children are doing while considering their developmental level. The program provides the children with the space and time to discover and develop their learning.
Full Day Camp at Footsteps includes fun and educational activities. The typical day includes indoor and outdoor choices with arts & crafts, games, sports, gardening and activity clubs. Children are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and other NON-MOTORIZED wheels to ride during the day. Helmets and other safety gear must be worn and children may only use the items they bring.
Footsteps Child Care has planned a fun summer for school age and middle school children; we are planning to offer many activities with lots of outside time, to provide learning in a safe and healthy environment led by experienced Footsteps Staff. All activities are done with the campers' assigned small group, adhering to the requirements of California Community Care Licensing and the San Mateo Health Department.
We do not discriminate in our admissions policies based on race, gender, religion, place of national origin, physical or mental abilities. Children with special needs will be considered for admission on an individual basis. A parent or guardian is required to visit the site for an orientation before the child attends.

I have had my three kids in the Footsteps Puma Cubs program and now in the after school program. I can't say enough nice things about the quality of the programming and teachers. The director of the after school site, Cnotra, is great with the kids. My kids look forward to going to the after school and the camps. They do a great job with making sure the kids get their homework done and also provide enrichment activities for the kids.
