Prairieland Federal Credit Union
Prairieland Federal Credit Union services anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or volunteers in McLean County, Illinois. Prairieland Federal Credit Union was established in 1937 as Oil-O-Matic Credit Union, we then became Eureka Williams Federal Credit Union ten years later, then Eureka Company Federal Credit Union in 1974.

The word "company" was dropped from our name in 1992 when Eureka's manufacturing operations moved out of town, and we expanded to serve Carle Hospital (previously Advocate BroMenn Hospital) and then AFNI company employees. Alton Route CU was founded in 1942 to serve the employees of the Alton Route Railroad.

Genuinely infuriating to use. app never works properly and the deposits can take days to go through , my account is regularly barred from transferring money. one of the worst banks I have ever used and I am planning to switch as soon as possible. Not recommended in the slightest. Entirely incompetent.

Worked there for over 30 years and the members are great. Made working there worth staying.

I've been with Prairieland Credit Union for about a year and they are truly a customer oriented bank. I've needed a used car, personal and refinancing loan and Marta S. assisted me from day one. She's always made sure to have my best interests at heart, answered my questions within the same day and made the paperwork process painless. Marta has gone over options with me prior to starting any formal inquiries so I have all of the information in front of me so I can make informed decisions. I will always go to Prairieland Credit Union for my banking needs. Thank you Marta and PrairielandCU.

Can’t wait to pull my money out and go elsewhere but they make it virtually impossible with their awful lobby hours. How is someone working a full time job supposed to make it there between the hours of 9-4 on weekdays only when my business hours are even longer than theirs?? And no weekend lobby hours? Incredibly lazy and stupid.
Also, this bank refuses to accept payments from PayPal or Square, so I can’t deposit any income from my side business. I have over $1,000 just sitting around in limbo because my bank refuses to deposit it. Stay far away fro Prairieland FCU!!!

Currently a victim of wire fraud -- They have insurance as monies are to be insured.
After 25 years of service basically cast aside and told that they cannot help me. Use a bank that has your back.
