Unprofessional. I had someone from a storage unit facility call this company to take me and my things to my college campus and was definitely overcharged. A less than 20 minute ride ended up being $50 because I had “a lot of stuff” (this is what was said to me verbatim over the phone). I would’ve understood if this amount could have been reasonably explained but I was told over the phone that I had “a lot of stuff” repeatedly. If I was told the amount I would be charged for upfront and explained why I’d be charged an extra $15 for a “service fee”, I wouldn’t have gotten the ride

Possibly the worst cab service in the country, sometimes they show up, sometimes they say no, certain neighborhoods are a no-sometimes, then when over half hour late, they want to lecture you... I am sorry, but were you born here? I would observe your cultural standards if in your country, whenever possible. Damn, maybe supporting Uber not so bad after all!

So I got them to pick me up pretty promptly and the taxi driver started lecturing me about how there were closer laundry mats than the one i wanted to go to. Then when I called back for a cab, the owner told me a cab would be there in 15-20 mins instead of having the balls to tell me he didn't want to pick up a 10-15 dollar ride. So I called friendly taxi and got picked up in like 5 mins.
I wouldn't call them again. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE WANT LYFT -- all the taxi drivers protesting against it. I hope LYFT comes to Oakland.

I was referred by Green Taxi to use Yellow Cab instead of them for a simple pick up from the West Oakland BART station to a location nearby. When I contacted them, they said that they would have a car there in ten minutes. In ten additional minutes, I called Yellow Cab again and in a round about manner, they mentioned that they could not send a car and hinted that some pecking order exists with other cab companies that could not be interrupted and that I should just grab the first cab that I see. This is the worst customer service I've EVER had with a cab company. While I was giving my information, I was disconnected once, and put on hold afterwards only to be picked up by a different person and when I said that I was unhappy with having to start over giving my information for the third time, the guy hung up on me. Wow. It's incredible that a cab company can still exist with this service.

The dispatcher is horribly rude. I called at 06:42am to get a cab to work. I was in a rush since my boyfriend lost his car keys, so couldn't take me to BART as planned. At 07:08, the cab still hadn't arrived, so I gave them a call back. I said that I had called almost half an hour ago and was wondering where my cab was. He began yelling at me, told me that I had just called 5 minutes ago (um...hello...cell phones tell you what time you called!) and to never call again. I promptly cancelled my cab and called Emeryville Yellow Cab. NEVER CALL THEM! Completely unreliable and dishonest.

I happen to live close to the airport. During the taxi ride, the driver has been telling me over and over again that had he known that I live close-by, he should have taken the other passenger going to Oakland. Also he was saying that he had to wait for hours to get a passenger (unfortunately for him that was me). As we were existing the gate, I told him he can try to go back and I'll get another taxi which was fine with me. However he said he has to get in a line again to get another passenger. Needless to say we were going back and forth about the whole thing with him being upset.

First of all, this review is solely for the dispatching services of this company. I never actually got in a cab, so cannot review the drivers or cab quality. Why did I not get in the cab, though?
