Aluminum Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. Anodizing increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal. Powder coating is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder, electrostatically and then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin".

It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Chemfilm is a "chemical conversion coating formed by the reaction of chemical conversion materials and the bare surfaces (not alclad) of aluminum alloys." It is used primarily for aluminum and aluminum alloys where increased corrosion resistance, improved paint adhesion, and a low electrical resistance coating is required.
Services
We strive to provide high quality finishes in the fastest turn-around time with the best customer service you can find in ANY industry. Electro Polish Co. has been metal finishing since 1948. Some of our employees have been here for 30+ years and that experience shows. We are your metal finishing problem solvers.

Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interference effects to reflected light.Anodizing is also used to prevent galling of threaded components and to make dielectric films for electrolytic capacitors.
For over 65 years Electro Polish has provided fully certified black oxide finishing. Whether it's hardened tool steels, stainless steels, or cast iron you will not see the red and brown finishes inherent to the other black oxide methods. At Electro Polish Co. we will get your parts blacker than you ever imagined.

Electropolishing is a process that removes material from the surface of the part. The removal of outer layer material from the metallic work piece creates a shiny, mirror finish resembling the polish of bright chrome car parts. Because of the removal of material, deburring occurs on burrs up to.005; even on the most complex of parts.

Report
I can't say enough about how great Electropolish is. - I am in sales for a company in the greater Dayton area. We hit a rough patch with a supplier, and needed many of our parts powder coated for our customer. The day this happened I stumbled upon Electropolish. I reached out via e-mail and phone, and the responsiveness I got was second to none. We got our drawings over to them and we received a quote incredibly fast. We actually were able to get our parts to them the same day as well. They coated them for us just as we requested, and communicated with us every step of the way. My only regret is
