Action Glass

I broke my rear window in my van at 5:30 am, called at 8:30 am, got an appointment for noon, Action Glass looked all over town for a replacement window and found one in time for my appointment. Just 8 hours after I accidentally broke my window I was driving home with my window freshly replaced.
Action glass was professional, very kind, and quick with their service. They also contacted my insurance for me to make the claim super easy to complete. Definitely recommend.

Friendly office staff helped me get a next day appointment and file the insurance claim. They came out to my home and did the replacement in my garage. They were able to pay half of my deductible, which was such a nice perk that other auto glass businesses were not able to do. New windshield is beautiful!

Action glass deserves 10 stars. I was on road trip from Chicago to traverse city and heard huge pop with good size rock hit our windshield. We stopped to charge our car and finally got to check if there was damage. I noticed a small impact, and called all local auto window places, everyone said no they can’t take me in right away. I was worried about it cracking all the way. Action glass was super nice on the phone, asked the techs if it was ok to take me right away as a walk in, called my insurance with me on phone to get authorization. Really pleased with the customer service here. I was recommended this place and they drove out to my work to replace my windshield. when it cracked again in less than 24 hours, they worked with me to get it replaced again. Will recommend to anyone in need of a windshield replacement. Thank you !

When making an appointment the lady told me that my deductible would be waved and they could calibrate my windshield. When I went to pick up my car the receptionist was on the phone with another coworker she held her finger up letting me know it would be a minute. That minute turned into 5 minutes. When someone else walked through the front of the store they finally helped me. I was informed I would have to pay my deductible and they could not calibrate my window. Why did they not call me before they worked on my car. When I got in my car there was broken glass pieces on my seat. It is now a month

They just gained a loyal, dedicated customer. Very honest in their dealings and will not perform any work that is unnecessary. Went in thinking I needed a new windshield due to a leak and was looking at $250. They did some work that perhaps prevented needing a new windshield and saved me $200. Mike was very open and honest and could have just did what I requested which was ask for a new windshield. He did not believe that was necessary and did some minor repairs. Hopefully I won’t need to get a new windshield but if I do; this location will get mine and my family’s business. Thank you!

The technician and service rep were very easy to work with. Scheduling the appointment was easy enough as well. However, it’s not even been 2 weeks later and the chip (it’s the size of a nickel)in my windshield is fully visible again. The technician did say it would be somewhat visible, which it was only a little noticeable after. Whatever they used must’ve worn off and now the chip is completely visible again and looks even worse than before. I’m not really impressed and wouldn’t recommend for any chip repair.

I was in need of a windshield replacement and was referred to Action Glass by my insurance broker at DAI Insurance Agency. I could not be happier with the job they did from start to finish. Diane was amazing setting up a timely at home appointment (next day) and Mark the installer did an exceptional job. He even took the time to clean up the shoddy work that had been done at a different glass shop. I would and will recommend this company to all my friends and family who are in need of glass repair. Friendly staff with modern, clean up to date lobby (something I really appreciate when waiting). I am rating 4 starts because they initially installed the wrong front windshield. I had to go back to have a different one installed the following week (they were very nice about it). They also forgot to reconnect the line for my windshield washer fluid which resulted in it leaking when I put more fluid in. Overall good experience but wish staff would have paid more attention to detail. I would recommend this facility as I understand mistakes happen 😌

Fantastic! Hit all the high points for me. Flowed seamlessly with my insurance, cost less than I planned, friendly, and efficient. Work was done in less time then they’d told me to expect and the waiting area sports comfort and WiFi for zero interruptions in your day. Had my windshield replaced and the following week had water coming in. They blamed it on the sunroof drain and wouldn't take responsibility. ( never had an issue with water before until they replaced my windshield) When they came out to look at the windshield they worked on the car before I was out there and when I went out there you could smell a fresh coat of sealant. Even after the 2nd attempt I still had water coming in. Due to them wanting to charge me another $100 to look into the issue further, I decided to have another company look at the issue. I was referred to them by Koenes auto body shop in Grand Rapids. I needed a specialty, hard to find windshield. They tracked one down for me. They made everything happen smoothly with my insurance company too. Nice customer waiting area too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their service.

The first time I used them in 2017 it was a great experience. The second time....not so much. I was looking to purchase a car with a broken windshield so I contacted their office to inquire on the price for a replacement. They told me they would cover my $100 deductible but a week later when I had purchased the vehicle and contacted them to schedule they retracted their offer and would only cover $30 of the $100 deductible. I used them twice, or tried to. The first time they were great. Came out when scheduled, price was fair, nice guy.
Second time they missed the appointment. Second time they missed the appointment. No communication from them, we had to text and see what was up.
I called a competitor and they were here in 2 hours.
They had a story each time, but, if I'm home waiting, I'm not at work making money!
I'd say you have a 50/50 chance of being pleased.

My wife's windshield somehow got cracked and I didn't want her driving around that way, at least not for any distance. I called Action Glass and they were able to take care of a replacement the next day. They gave me a quote, and the cost was exactly what they quoted. They were quick and efficient, and my wife was able to drive away in less than an hour. I wasn't present while Action Glass replaced the windshield, but my wife said I definitely needed to give them a great Yelp review!
