My family planned a surprise 40th birthday celebration for me as part of the winery's New Year's Eve Masquerade Party, but a number of us were closely exposed to COVID (and later tested positive ourselves) and we decided it was best for none of us (a party of 10) to attend, to avoid spreading COVID to other event participants and winery staff. This place is beautiful. I would never recommend this place for a wedding reception. Very rude unprofessional unpleasant place I've ever been a part of. My nephew got married there and had their reception there as well. Big reception. Had bartenders there that had no clue what they were doing. Family had to take care of the keg of beer they had because they couldn't even tap correctly. Also a hour wait in line to get drinks because the gentleman behind the bar had no clue. The only reason this place should get a star is that it is a beautiful place. The customer service is horrible at best. I was there for a wedding and reception 10/16/21. There was a happy hour between the wedding and reception and at the end of the hour there were still people in line to get a drink. When the owner was approached about the poor service her response was that you get what you pay for and you paid for 2 bartenders. Both bartenders were either new or just incompetent. They did not have any urgency at all. They had trouble with the draft beer not working and my daughter had to fix

Unfortunately tonight is the third time we have had to walk out of this winery due to not getting waited on within an hour. Tonight we walked in at 5 pm and couldn’t get waited on until after 6 pm. By time the waitress came to our table, they told us the kitchen had closed at 6. I love the environment and the wine from Bella but they will no longer have our business.

I have visited this establishment once before and was very impressed with the setting, the food and the wine. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my most recent visit. Our party spent quite a bit and tipped generously, but were basically "ushered out" when the manager objected to one person in the group. I will not speak to that situation, as I am not that person and cannot speak for her. Even if you had a problem with one person, perhaps it could have and should have been dealt with a different way. Instead, you began collecting our plates while one of the guests was still

We've eaten many times at Bella Vista. For small town Maryville, Il this is one of the nicer restaurants offering a more upscale, yet reasonably priced menu. Our most recent dinner was Friday, August 6. Kamy was our waitress, service was quick and delicious. I got the Mahi and my husband got the trout special, both were delicious and came with plenty of sides. With COVIID, we still like to sit outside, we were greeted and seated quickly , outside on the pleasant patio.

The food and wine were both fantastic. Went during the week at lunch, so they had limited staff. But they offered a few free samples of wine and even though we had to order food at the bar, they checked on us a few times anyway. I cannot recommend this place enough, and we plan to go back next week!

My family, friends, and I had a fabulous evening sitting on the patio this evening! It was fully covered and nice breeze and didn’t feel like it was 98 degrees! The food though was amazing- we had wings, pub burger, pizza and sampler appetizer platter. They were delicious- the burger was juicy amd the wings had a sweet kick to them. I am definitely looking forward to coming back and spreading the word that this place is a hidden gem :)

This place is really nice on the inside, very well planned & cared for. Multiple areas for seating choices when dinning in or drinking a bottle of wine.
The tasting bar is just inside the door & conveniently located for all guests.
We enjoyed a great conversation while tasting, and were invited back for lunch with music on the 4th.
Left with a wonderful bottle of 2nd Amendment Right (their version of a resiling). Looking forward to making some blackened salmon and steamed asparagus to enjoy with this bottle!

First of all I’d like to say all of the staff except for Sheila were absolutely amazing. We went there today to look at this beautiful winery to potentially host for my wedding. When we asked about events, my mother was “greeted” by Sheila. Sheila immediately rude and handed my mom a piece of scrap paper with a hand written email address telling her that we couldn’t see anything and if we wanted to we had to talk to the event coordinator. (Who wasn't at that time).
She was very rude and unapologetic from the get-go. She was so rude to-the point that bartender and other staff members apologize

If I could, I would leave 0 stars. A larger group of friends and I attended this winery last weekend for a surprise birthday party; yes without a reservation. However when we arrived, there were very few other people. One of the apparent managers of the establishment very rudely told us we were only allowed two hours at our table. After that approximate timeframe, she then informed us she would be closing our tabs and we needed to leave because they had our two (out of the probably 5 other empty tables) reserved for another party. We would have been completely fine moving to another small table

Today was my first experience at this winery. A group of 15 of my friends and family gathered to celebrate my birthday. We are extremely easy going and just wanted to eat, drink and enjoy each other’s company. We had no expectations of being treated special due to our large size, however almost every table was empty when we arrived. At first I was surprised that the winery was not very busy on a beautiful day like today, but now I understand. The host was a gentleman and he was very kind and friendly. This was a lunch stop while on Spring Break with the family. Only a few minutes further down the road from those "other places", this Winery/Restaurant sits out in the countryside. Grape vines in the fields give a hint that you are getting close. The building is pretty big with high ceilings and lots of banquet space. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entry. It was not super busy in the front dining area, but it seemed they may have had a larger group somewhere in the back. The front area is a bar, wine tasting and a medium size dining area. My husband and I had an awful experience. We were looking forward to a night with each other. The food on the buffet was ice cold. The bartenders did not pay any attention to us because we "looked underaged"... we are 28... and showed ID multiple times.
I would never recommend this place. Horribly rude.

We go to Bella Vista quite often and we absolutely love it! The food is delicious and high quality. The wine is absolutely delicious and they have a wide selection. The staff is always super kind and attentive and the atmosphere is always pleasing. Such a beautiful venue, you must give it a try if you're in a winery mood!

The wine is ok and they have a decent selection of bottled beer but nothing on tap. Limited selection of spirits as well.
For me the food prices were the biggest issue. They're high for the quality and quantity. $15 for a appetizer sampler that had 4 toasted ravioli 2 fried risotto balls and some fried zucchini sticks. Then $9 for a small piece of tiramisu.
We may come back but only for drinks!

BEWARE!! If I could give zero stars I would! Met some friends for music and dinner last night. Our friends arrived 20 minutes before us, and sat the entire time waiting for service. No eye contact from the wait staff and no waters or drinks. When my wife and I arrived I literally had to flag a waitress down!! I am going to cut to the chase: service was pathetic!! When we finally placed our orders for drinks, it took quite a while. The place was busy and I get that the establishment just reopened with limited seating after the lifting of COVID-19 rules. But, with limited staff? Come on
