According to the EPA, each year, 2,500,000,000 pounds of used clothing ended up there. Phew, that's a lot of zeros. What's more, the average person (yes, that's you and me), adds more than 67 pounds of clothing to the pile each year (Source: Council for Textile Recycling). And 99% of that could have been reused or recycled.

What a waste. There are piles of reasons to recycle your used clothing, shoes, belts, handbags and stuffed animals. Not the least of which are the mountains of discarded garments that end up in America's landfills each and every year. Clothing that can take hundreds of years to decompose. It's an alarming situation that's growing bigger and uglier every day.
Services
MAC Recycling believes doing good for the planet starts right here in our own back yard. We not only provide a safe, convenient and efficient way to help our community recycle used clothes, we also contribute in other ways as well. We're a financial supporter, contributing regularly to D.A.R.E. America, the highly acclaimed national program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs and violence.
If you're a school, church or other type organization you can change your used clothes, shoes, belts, handbags and stuffed animals into an easy and fun way to raise funds for your organization. MAC Recycling can help you create a used clothing drive and turn unwanted clothes into much needed dollars.
If you're a Property Owner or Manager, you'll find MAC Recycling a perfect partner to help provide free recycling services to your tenants, customers and neighbors, while offering added specialty leasing and ancillary revenue. MAC Recycling has a long history of success with Property Management and ownership because of the proven service, maintenance and responsiveness that we provide.
The history of recycling is as old as the earth itself. The fact is the planet has been doing it since the planet began. Humans since humanity began. For instance, the ancient Egyptians wove new fabrics made from old mummy wrappings. Talk about reincarnation! Now fast forward five thousand years. Those mummies would be rolling over in the sarcophagus.
