She earned her bachelor's degree from UCLA, and her dental degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 2009. In dental school, she volunteered for a service trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua to treat the under-served population. She also worked with several after-school programs that provide dental education for Philadelphia inner-city children.

I really can’t thank all of the staff enough for how great they’ve been to not only my teeth but to me! From up front at the desk, assistants and Dr. Sugar herself. They’ve all been so kind and patient with me throughout all my appointments and made sure I’m comfortable at each one. I was finally able to get Invisalign and the team worked with me to help me get my teeth where I wanted them to be before my wedding. A week before my wedding I was right at the end of my trays. I looked back at the wedding day photos and realized I would not have been showing my teeth if it weren’t for them

I had an appointment today to replace 2x old (silver) fillings. Not exactly something you might look forward to on a Monday morning. But... somehow the crew at Sugar Fam made it excellent. Noise cancelling headphones offered... spent the whole session watching a John Mayer live concert at YouTube (so sue me). They even periodically put some chap stick on while the session continued. Hard to state just how good of a job they do here. 10/10

I had the best dental experience at Sugar Family Dental! Did not feel the injection at all and had a crown done on the lower teeth! Britni the assistant and Dr Sugar made me feel so comfortable and worked like a well oiled machine. They are amazing! The whole process did not take too long and left feeling great and have had no problems with the temporary I highly recommend Dr Sugar and staff to have as your Dental office they are the best!!

Sugar dental has a friendly, professional and competent staff. They told me exactly what they were going to do and were extremely pleasant. The whole practice is great. The office staff, hygienists, assistants, and Dr. Sugar are friendly and professional. I've visited the office many times for cleanings, fillings, and a few crowns. All appointments were kept on time, and the work was done expeditiously and thoroughly. Today's visit was for an emergency. I got an appointment within a few hours of calling, and the problem was resolved. When my dentist of 35 years retired, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a suitable replacement. I have.

Lisa the receptionist was so friendly and kind and helped me with pricing and info and booking my appointment. Lora cleaned my teeth and was extremely thorough but also gentle and caring... checking to see how I was doing every step of the way. Dr Sugar was so nice and positive and I can tell she takes pride in her staff.
I have a lot of anxiety with dentists and this was definitely my best experience in many years!! Highly recommend. 😃
