Unlike our daily clothing, most formal gowns don't stretch at all! Your gown's fit may be impacted by weight gain/loss, hormonal cycle, water retention, change in medications, cleanses, working out, weather, surgery, etc.
No food, beverages or loud phone calls in the studio to avoid disruption to others & on-going appointments. Brides - First fitting ideally 6-8 weeks before event date; 3 - 6 months prior for a restyle of vintage/heirloom gown. I recommend going to see Van at Bridal Perfect Fit! She truly knows what she is doing, is very professional and can work "magic" on any dress. I originally bought a size 12 dress and unintentionally lost weight up until my wedding week. Vann was able to take my dress down to a size 6 which is almost impossible. She put a liner in up top on the bodice (not included in the pic attached yet) so it wouldn't be see thru anymore. She added more boning in the bodice for additional support, took out the push-up padded bra cups & replaced with thinner ones and closed in the plunging neckline

I don't have enough good things to say about Bridal Perfect Fit. She saved my wedding dress in the nick of time.
Before I met Van, I had taken my dress to a tailor at another store. I was concerned that the dress did not look like the original during my 2nd fitting, but my initial tailor assured me it would all come together. That was not the case. The back of the top rode too high and as a result, part of my back showed between the top and the skirt. I asked if she could put hook and eyes on the the skirt and top, and she refused, stating it was impossible because the skirt was too heavy

Van is the absolute best!!! She worked on 2 of my wedding dresses and they fit amazing. They were not easy dresses to alter and she managed to get them done really fast. Van is a professional and made my dresses fit perfect! I've had to postpone my wedding ceremony because of the virus and she was very comforting when I told her. I found Bridal Perfect Fit 7 years ago because I was tired of the poor quality of work by in-house suit tailors ranging from Neiman Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom, Men's Wearhouse, etc. From the moment Van fitted me and took the time to understand my needs and preferences, I knew I was at the right place.

DO NOT COME HERE! If I could give zero stars I would. During my first visit, Van informed me that if you are a bride she will charge you more than if you are a bridesmaid. Her words, "I think brides have more money that the bridesmaids anyway!" I went in to pick up my dress and they forgot to take one of the pins off so a girl busted the zipper and insisted I pay for it because "it was fine before you got here!" I did not pick up my dress until two days before the wedding. Talk about a close call. I went in to pick up my dress and in front of everyone this lady says, "Oh

This review is long overdue - I remembered I needed to write this after scheduling an upcoming appointment for a bridesmaid dress fitting. I took my wedding dress to Van last year for my wedding and she was so sweet and meticulous! My dress had so much delicate lace and she went above and beyond to not only make sure it was a custom fit to my body, but to add personal touches like cutting the back a little deeper and adding a hidden side snap to get it a closer fit at the bust. It's truly artwork what she does! It is slightly pricier but you get what you pay for - I can't imagine having

Bridal Perfect Fit is the best! I started seeing Van when I moved to San Antonio for alterations on work clothes or bridesmaid dresses, etc. When I got engaged and picked out my wedding dress I knew Van would be the one I trust! She even told me before I went to look for dresses that I could text her options and she could give me a ballpark idea of how much alterations would run with different materials so that was awesome to know ahead of time! She did amazing and was able to make my dress fit perfectly! I have complete trust in Van and the employees at Bridal Perfect Fit!

I went in for wedding alterations and was quoted $800!! In all fairness, there was a $100 rush fee she added but this price was much higher than any other quote I received. I ended up having my dress altered at another equally popular shop for $380. Based on price alone, I have to give 3 stars at best.

I was in the hunt to find the best person to perform alterations on my wedding dress and was recommended not only by friends but also by one of the best bridal boutiques in Austin, Blush Bridal (I live in San Antonio). As soon as I arrived Van made me feel so welcomed as I was already running late for my appointment and felt really bad. She is so so friendly and actually cares about making you look your best on your big day. After she just pinned my dress it looked sooo much better than before. I have not seen my final dress yet but I know it is going to fit like a glove and make me look stunning

My wedding dress was here for an entire month. When I showed up to my appointment to try it on Van acted like she had no idea who I was or why I was there. I don't think she had even started on my dress.....

Van is nothing short of a miracle worker. I had taken my wedding dress to another seamstress and she messed my dress up and I was in a panic as my bridal photos were in two weeks and I needed the dress by this time. I emailed Van on a Tuesday evening after hours, and she actually responded at 12am telling me to bring my dress in the next day! I went in and Van reassured me that she could have the dress completed in the two week period and that she would be able to fix the dress so that it would fit perfectly... and she delivered. I picked up my dress yesterday ( I am taking bridal photos today

UPDATE: Because of classes I had to leave San Antonio two weeks prior to the wedding. The day I was leaving, I tried on my dress; it was too tight so Van let me come in and drop it off (my mother picked up the dress). Then 2 weeks later I came back the day before the wedding, tried on the dress, and it was a tad bit too loose now.
Yes, the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING Van let me come in and they took in the dress immediately. It fit like a glove on my wedding day. That is QUALITY customer service!
