Since 2007, Sergeant Bluff EyeCare has been a top optical leader in Siouxland. Rachel Vandekop is the practice manager, overseeing 4 locations including Sergeant Bluff Eye Care, Marcus Eye care, LeMars Eye Care and Wayne Eye Care. In this role Rachel provides support for all 4 clinics in all areas including customer relations, accounts receivable/payable, and most importantly patient care.

Ben Uhl is a Optometrist and Owner of Sergeant Bluff Eyecare. In this role, Dr. Uhl is responsible for all aspects of the clinic and its success by providing all aspects of clinical care, providing the best care for your eyes and your sight.

I had mixed feeling at first when it came to Sgt. Bluff EyeCare, but I think it was mostly stress from Covid. Im honestly more thankful the staff is professional and super friendly. I enjoy the company of their pleasantries and witty humor of all the doctors, and the ease of getting your eyes checked. Their clinic is one probably one of the most up-to-date clinics in the county, with over 100+ different options with brands too. I don't think I'll pick another optometrist.

If I could, I'd give them higher than 5 stars! I had a very random, yet serious, problem. When I ran into complications I was able to call, and they met me even on a Saturday & Sunday morning when I had issues and needed follow up care. They were able to figure out the problem, solve it, and save my vision! Extremely happy. They were kind, professional, and thorough.

I originally came here back in 2017 by referral from a friend and they took great care of me then. I recently moved back home and called them up to get myself in. They were very prompt, had an opening a day later, and it was a very hassle free experience overall. My visit went over very well, Dr. Uhl went above and beyond with making sure I was taken care of and that my vision was corrected! I would highly recommend giving these fine folks the opportunity to help you too!

I love it!! The staff is always very friendly and very helpful. They are professional and caring. The office is very warm and inviting has a family feel. Dr. Uhl is always very professional and very good with kids. He is very knowledgeable and I like that he doesn’t just prescribe glasses if they are not needed. He always explains everything that he is doing and listens of you have questions. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!! Amazing place other businesses could learn from them!!

I have been going to Dr. Uhl since 2013. Dr. Uhl is very thorough and very efficient at explaining things during the exam. Rachel always does an exceptional job with pre-testing and always friendly. Carrie is a fantastic optician and very savvy in her role. The entire staff is always smiling and friendly with everyone, and proficient in their roles. They are also very cost effective. I highly recommend choosing Dr. Uhl for your eye care needs and eyewear.
