Sugar Cloud Baking Company started in 2008 when Serena, a traditionally trained baker decided to turn her love of baking and art into a career. Serena began baking from an early age and has since dedicated many years in order to achieve exceptionally delectable baked goods. Her business originally started as a small company, Artista Cakes.
Over the years, her wonderful reputation as an artisan baker and cake designer grew along with her business. As the business evolved and grew, so did the name. Now known as Sugar Cloud Baking Company, which focuses not only on beautiful and delicious wedding and celebration cakes, but also ecommerce, selling custom made wedding cake accessories, tutorials and decorating essentials.

Our original innovative dessert is made with local porters and stouts, baked into a delicious chocolate mocha brew cake. Since taste and flavor are the most important elements as we begin the creation process, we believe that the art of the wedding cake starts with phenomenal ingredients. We use real butter, cream, vanilla bean paste, Des Alpes cocoa and of course, sugar! Our buttercream is made from scratch, and is a self-developed recipe by the owner.
All of the flavors on our menu are original, developed over time and inspired by trusted tradition. Our buttercream is made with 100% butter, sugar and pure vanilla bean. All of our cakes are torted and filled. Your cake will be delicious and lovely when plated, no matter what flavor you choose! Traditional white sour cream and amaretto cake.

We love them, well, because it's a foodie/art lover's dream, and our clients love them of the TASTE! What a gem to find! Awesome bakery, delicious doughnuts and ice cream. Cute seating area, and got to play SNES while stuffing our faces! Even got to chat with staff and they were great.
Beautiful, made-to-order cakes and donuts too. Waited a few min for service, which is to be expected for such a quality product. Thanks Sugar Cloud!

The shop was super cute, and the lady who packaged our donuts was very nice.
As for the donuts themselves they were okay, we read some reviews over exaggerating how good they were so it ended up being somewhat disappointing.
Also not a lot to choose off their menu since they are understaffed so we understand why they mainly only had donuts available.
I would recommend the fruity pebble donut, the rest had a odd after taste. From the donut itself 🤷.

My friends and I stopped at Sugar Cloud two weeks ago while on a "girl's mountain getaway" for ice cream and donuts. (This is my hubby's google account 🙂)
The treats were super delicious.
She was short staffed (poor sweet girl was the only one) but so friendly and warm it made our visit there a true blessing.
I very much recommend supporting this small business...your tastebuds will thank you!

We cannot say enough good things about Sugar Cloud baking company!! They were a dream to work with. The dessert table they put together for our wedding was gorgeous, delicious, and a highlight of the reception for our guests. Not only are they skilled in making a variety of types of desserts, but they have an eye for design. Also every person we interacted with was kind, generous, professional, and eager to do a good job. We are headed back to the mountains for our anniversary this year and can't wait to pick up some treats from Sugar Cloud to help us celebrate.

I got my wedding cakes from here and it was three separate cakes with three separate flavors and it was absolutely amazing. Butter Pecan, Chocolate, and Lemon Raspberry were the flavors and it’s been over a year since we had them and we still talk about how good the cakes were. They drove an hour to my wedding location and set everything up just how I pictured it in my head like she could read my mind. I will be a forever customer because of how amazing of a baker/person the owner and the people that work there are. Thank you!!

The cake was DELICIOUS. All of my guests raved about how wonderful the cake and cupcakes were. And if this review were based solely on the product, it'd be 5 stars. I have to mention, however, how awful the bakery was to work with. I paid in full for my April 2020 wedding in March 2020, and of course had to reschedule. It took multiple unanswered emails and unreturned phone calls to finally be able to speak to the owner and get our new date confirmed. And then leading up to the new date, I tried multiple times calling and emailing with no response. My wedding was in June 2021, and I had no communication

Very friendly staff. Cute little place. Beautiful looking cupcakes. I got lemon and butter pecan. The butter pecan while good seemed to be lacking in the flavor I was expecting. I was hoping for more richness. The lemon had a layer of lemon curd between the actual cupcake and the icing. It made the cupcake. Delicious flavor combination. The lemon cupcake won for me in this showdown. My husband even preferred it and he doesn't like lemon cake.
I also got some super cute snowman cake pops for the kids. Didn't taste them.
Worth a stop. I'll be back.
