Unknown subsurface soil conditions cause more construction problems than any other factor. That is why geotechnical engineering forms the foundation for nearly all construction projects. An evaluation of site soil conditions is critical to appropriate foundation design and construction planning, to identify soil issues that will be encountered during construction.
