Garmon Funeral Home has been serving the East Texas community for over 80 years. It began in 1937 when Felix W. Jenkins Sr. and Anna Marie Holliman Jenkins founded the Jenkins Funeral Home. In 1963, Jenkins Funeral Home was purchased by funeral directors E.R. Sterling and T.D. Armstrong. They operated the funeral home until May of 1968.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Staff members of Garmon Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. After graduating from Central High School in Jefferson, Texas he joined the United States Navy and received an Honorable Discharge as a Steward Second Class.
Garmon Funeral Home provides families the choice of arranging their services in the comfort of our facility or at their local church. We can provide our families with an array of personalization of a meaningful tribute to their loved one. We are located one mile north of Historic Downtown Henderson.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. What a wonderful place to bring your family members in their last days. Garmon will have them looking like themselves, never a complaint. I grew up with the family and they are very special in my family. When you choose Garmon you chose the right place for your love one. They actually need 100 stars rating!!!!

BILL GARMON TO COME TO DALLAS, TEXAS TO PICK UP THE BODY OF MY OLDEST, HANDSOME, SWEET SON. THE SECOND EXPERIENCE WAS JUNE 17, 2020, WHEN I HAD TO CALL MR. GARMON TO PICK UP THE BODY OF MY 101-YEAR OLD SWEET MOTHER. BOTH, VERY DEVASTATING, BUT EACH TIME, MR. Garmon funeral home was a great help to my family as we planned the home going of our family members, they handled the service's for both my grandparents. They took great care making sure we understund and answered the questions we had. They have been in the community for a long time and the standard of care was great then and is still stands great today.
