Almond Street Garage is owned by Paul Decker. Paul not only owns a business in Port Richmond, he is a resident of Port Richmond. Paul started working at Almond Street Garage in 1978. Through his hard work and many years of service to the company, he was offered a chance to become owner in 1997. Paul jumped at the opportunity and took over operations that year.
Almond Street Garage is a Pennsylvania state authorized inspection and emissions testing center. Same day service is available for inspection and minor maintenance/repairs. Our shop technicians are happy to help you with your auto repair and factory scheduled maintenance services.

Paul is a trustworthy mechanic. He Will fix what is needed and not push extra work. He brought my 2001 acura mdx back to life, which I had to get towed to his shop. If you live in port richmond or the surrounding area. Definitely give this place a try. Not fun when your car breaks down, needs work. But I gained a trustworthy mechanic

I understand places can be busy and all but no need for bad customer service ! I Lived in port Richmond 15 years now. The weather is very bad today and noticed a bad flat on my back tire. I Stopped over here to see the wait time or the see if this can be fixed today. Mind you I greeted them nicely and all and received a huge attitude and a door slam. I don’t recommend this place at all ! At Pep Boys now unfortunately.

I took my car for a routine inspection. I also recently purchased a catalytic converter lock, I asked the guys to take a look at and if it was not too much trouble, to put in on for me. They informed me that the lock would not prevent people from stealing the part(which happened twice in the past six months) and ideas on what to get instead. They recommended a shop that specialized in that area of mechanics and never charged me for the work they did on the car. The service was great and with all the work and inspection, took under four hours.

A friend of mine recommended this place to me and I'm so glad! I was looking for a place within the neighborhood that could do some wheel repairs rather quickly since I was leaving town for the weekend. I called on a Wednesday and got an appointment for the very next day. Dropped off the car in the AM and everything was done by the time I was leaving work. Not to mention, the pricing is very reasonable.

This weekend gave me a wonderful experience with everyone at the garage. First they accommodated changing my appointment from Saturday morning to Friday night to get my car inspected, then helped me to get a spot close to my house that night, and this morning as I was struggling to get out they helped me. Any business owner and employees that put in that effort to help a fellow neighbor is a place I want to frequent and will recommend them to anyone who asks !

I've been going to Almond Street Garage for regular maintenance and repairs on my car for about 3 years. They've always been courteous and very helpful. Even stayed open late to replace my battery for me last winter because I couldn't make it there before closing time. My only complaint is they seem a bit pricey, but I'd rather pay for good work than save on a rush job.

Took my car to Almond Street Garage, to get brake pads. Place looks like a real home town friendly garage, but the guys behind the counter are actually shysters! Left my car there for less then 20 minutes, and the mechanic Paul calls me back and says it will be about $345 PLUS TAX to install brake pads and rotors, which seemed extremely high! Told him I was going to take it some where else, as soon I told him that, he asked "Would you like cheaper work then?". He then reduced the price to $250 plus tax. I declined his offer.
