The key to optimal health is prevention and early diagnosis of disease. In addition to physical examination we recommend annual bloodwork, a fecal test for parasites, and urinalysis based on the age and breed of your pet. We also believe in the importance of dental cleanings for the prevention of disease.
All horses entering Kentucky racetracks (all breeds) are required to have a current negative piroplasmosis test. This is a blood test that must be drawn by a veterinarian. Michigan is currently requiring all horses entering the state from Indiana to have a negative Piroplasmosis (Theileria equi) test.

Incredibly disappointed and will be filing a formal BBB complaint. I had used them for years and was very happy. Have definitely gone down hill. Staff is RUDE-What’s left of them at least. The second to last visit I’d had them out left me with a wishy washy diagnosis and the vet lied. I was told at the end of that same visit that the follow up visit would not be billed and low and behold, they charged me. (The vet who performed the follow up visit did not come out only to care for my animal, they were already due to come out to the farm for other horses.) It is not my problem that your staff

Excellent service, compassion, caring. After 35+ years at another veterinary clinic I've found a vet service that genuinely cares and takes their time, answering all questions. I do not experience the conveyor belt "get in and get out after you pay exorbitant fees" that my former veterinary clinic had gradually reduced themselves to.

I appreciate McDavitt Veterinary Clinic so much. We had and emergency situation and Dr Sara calmed and treated our 2 dogs and the rest of the family. I have to admit that this hasn’t been our go to vet in the past however, I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again. I might add that we had to wait on Dr Sara for an additional 30 minutes from the scheduled appointment, she was well worth the wait.
Thanks so much on behalf of Sylvia and Zoey.
Sincerely,
Leslie Kingston
