A broken ankle is also known as an ankle "fracture" means that one or more of the bones that make up the ankle joint are broken. A fractured ankle can range from a simple break in one bone to several fractures, which forces your ankle out of place and may require that you not put weight on it for a few months.
What Is a Bunion? A bunion is a "bump" on the outer edge of your big toe and forms when the bone or tissue at the big toe joint moves out of place. You may have a bunion if this area of your foot is red, swollen, or painful. Why Do I Have a Bunion? Let's start with genetics first and your footwear next!
The most common cause of yellowed, thick and /or deformed toenails is a fungal infection of the toenail. The fungus that infects the nail, most commonly, is the same fungus that causes athletes foot. It tends to be slowly progressive, damaging the nail to a greater and greater degree over time. The infection usually starts at the tip of the nail and works its way back.
Hammertoe is a foot deformity that occur most often in women who wear high heels or shoes with a narrow toe box. These types of footwear may force your toes against the front of the shoe, causing an unnatural bending. A hammertoe has an abnormal bend in the middle joint of a toe. Hammertoe is most likely to occur in the toe next to your big toe.
