Painful or embarrassing feet can rob you of the simple pleasures in life - going for a brisk fall morning run, kicking off your shoes at the beach, or even wearing those heels out for a date.

Contact us directly and avoid unnecessary wait time and pathogen exposure in the Emergency Centers. Our Podiatrists are trained to evaluate and treat all ailments involving the foot and ankle both medically and surgically.
The sole of the foot is distinctly hollow when bearing weight, due to an abnormally high medial longitudinal arch. Avoid shoes that are stiff or have an elevated heel, since they will prevent the arch from flexing naturally and focus more stress on the ball of the foot.

High arches can be asymptomatic, but there can also be painful symptoms that are a result of lateral metatarsal compression, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, calluses, ankle instability, lower limb stress fractures, knee pain, iliotibial band friction syndrome, and back pain.Stretching and strengthening tight and weak muscles can help redistribute plantar pressure loading.
This condition is a degenerative joint disease, and is often called "wear-and-tear" arthritis, as opposed to rheumatoid arthritis, which is an auto-immune disorder. The essential element of foot care is to wear shoes that fit properly and feel comfortable, so look for shoes that are flat with no elevated heel, shaped like your foot, and flexible.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! The doctor looked at my foot for a few seconds and told me I needed surgery. The man was very sketchy, he did not look clean he had dirt on his scrubs and was very rude. When I asked him simple questions he dismissed them as not necessary, when they in fact were. They had me sign a paper saying that if something goes wrong I could not sue them. Would not recommend this to anyone! If you are reading this comment, do not go there by all means, you will absolutely regret it if you do. Just find another place to fix whatever problem you are experiencing.

Went in for Plantar Warts I have been dealing for 3-5 years. Doctor took a 10-30s look and immediately said “you need surgery” and immediately stood up to give me the papers then went onto explain he could give me a cream but “it just wouldn’t work.” Also explained to me I would be off work for a week and needed surgical shoes. I then went and got a second opinion 2 weeks later and my new doctor said he has not operated on plantar warts in over 15 years and gave me the “said cream” and now my warts are almost gone after 1 week of use. They just want you to spend your money on unneeded

I highly recommend Feet For Life Podiatry in Chesterfield, MO. After one treatment with Dr. Horwitz, my heel pain has been significantly reduced. I'm no longer waking up in pain or limping across the room. Don't make the mistake I made and suffer for months with unbearable heel pain. Dr. Horwitz can help you. I was able to get right in and the staff was very friendly.

Bad bedside manner from he doctor. I explained my issue. He said its foot fungus you'll want to buy this in house concoction to treat it. Was $60. I paid for it. He then said that before I leave they will grind down the toenail so the meda can reach the area they need to. He did not tell me that this was additional to my visit fee. Had I known that I would not have consented. They billed me $137 for someone to spend less than a minute using a Dremel on my toenail. Absolutely not a way to do business. It seems they are just in the business of making money and seeing many people and not taking time

I saw Dr.Michael Horwitz. He helped me tremendously!! I had plantar fascitis in both feet. I was in extreme pain for many years. I was treated by 3 different doctors before finding him. I tried physical therapy. Cortisone injections helped for 6 Mos. They would only give me total of 3. so helped for couple years. Purchased expensive orthotic pad inserts. Then shoes. Helped a little at first. Tried accupuncture. Pain mgmt. The list goes on. An associate referred me to Dr Horwitz. He literally changed my life!! Highly recommend Feet for Life Podiatry! I was experiencing severe heel pain and they were able to schedule an appointment right away. The receptionist and medical assistants are professional and courteous. Dr. Horowitz took time to listen to my issue and quickly diagnosed plantar fasciitis. He provided expert knowledge of the problem and thoroughly explained how to proceed with a treatment plan - within a week I was more than 50% better! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to walk and go on our family vacation. After three weeks I am as good as new!

Dr Horwitz is an amazing foot expert and an amazing surgeon. He has been my foot doctor for many years and has kept my feet healthy through many miles of running, walking, biking and many years of using my fret. I highly recommend him for his skill and his care in keeping our feet healthy. I had amazing results with bunion and toe repair surgeries. He and his staff truly deserve the 5 gold stars.

Do not go here. X-rays that aren't required even before you see the doctor. No time to even cut one nail and just a recommendation for future out of pocket treatments. Also, bad vibes in the office - it's easy to see when staff seems unhappy.

The doctor's office claimed they received pre-approval from our insurance company for my husband's foot surgery. After the surgery was completed, we find out they were out of network and knew the entire time without informing us. Then, they highly inflated all of the charges and submitted a claim to our insurance company for $23k. After calling them with our insurance company on the phone they claimed they only received approval for the doctor and not the facility. Wow. How would a patient know that the doctor would be covered and not the facility? Yes, my husband should have done his

Seen in August, 2018 by Dr Horwitz for plantar fasciitis in right foot. Dr Horwitz was very nice and very thorough. Gave me a boot and lifts to wear for an hour each day. I was asked to pay $30 for the lifts (wedges) up front, as insurance would not pay. I questioned whether my two insurance companies would pay for boot, was told usually insurance pays. Asked Dr Horwitz how much boot would cost if insurance did not pay - he said "no more than $100.00".

The office then proceeded to bill my insurance $90 for the lifts and $350.00 for the boot. After insurance payments, I am being

I have never left a negative review for anyone but I could not let this one go. Dr. Horwitz was among the worst "doctors" that I have visited. He had little bedside manner, was in a hurry, and seemed more interested in talking about his personal situations over the phone with his staff than in spending some time with me to explain my options. I paid for the TOTAL amount of the bill before leaving. Then they sent me another bill for $45 that under no conditions did I owe. I always pay my bill but refuse to pay for something that I am being wrongly charged for! It is a matter of principal

Run fast, because when their done with you, you wont be able to run at all. Went in for a small sist on my big toe and they told me I needed surgery, they went in and cut it out, leaving me with a split toe nail and constant pain in my toe. I never write reviews but these guys are scammers. Every visit will consist of multiple xrays so they can charge your insurance and a 2 second visit on why you need surgery. Name should be Hurt feet for life

This seems a very profit-driven business that uses every excuse to bill and sell you more service/products which did not take care of the problem. My husband took my 10-year-old son to see Dr. Michael Horwitz about something growing in his right heel. After taking two x-rays, the doctor was not certain what it was. He told my husband that we would be looking at many treatments in the long term which could still be ineffective or alternatively we could take care of it through surgery under general anesthesia. Given the seriousness of this prospect, my husband asked if I could speak to the doctor

I recently had foot surgery done by Dr. Michael Horwitz and I am beyond satisfied with the outcome. I initially came to him with serious pain in my left foot due to a hammer toe and a really long second toe. It was so bad I was no longer running and exercising like I had before the pain. I knew I had to do something to maintain my mobility. He throughly and simply explained with x-rays why I was having the pain. He also did a great job at explaining what options I had and which ones he thought I would benefit the most from... I chose surgery because I didn't want to experience this pain another

Hubby was told by Dr. Horowitz he needed hyfrecation to resolve plantars warts on bottom of left foot. My husband has serious heart defect and was concerned about the use of twilight with I.v. sedation for this procedure. We were treated like our concern regarding the I.v. with twilight sedation was crazy and told "we'd have to peel him off of the ceiling without it." Contacted by office staff prior to surgery and told total responsibility for everything would be $267.00. Day of surgery, 2/12/16, again, we were told total cost of this whole deal would be $267.00, we quickly paid

I would not EVER go to this doctor office again. I'll say this first...I paid them a bunch of money. My insurance paid them a bunch of money and my heel still hurts.

They sold me a heel splint and charged my insurance company over $200. I found the same medical equipment for $29.95 at Walmart. Of course my insurance didn't pay for it and so then the doctor office charged me $98.64. I ended up not even being able to use the equipment as it kept me awake at night. I used it twice. And when I asked them if they would work with me on it, they said no. That since they had charged

I highly recommend the 'Feet for Life' center, Dr. Horwitz and his staff. This was an amazing experience and I left the appointment feeling informed and highly valued.
I found my way to Feet for Life after several pedicures at the Clean Spa. I didn't realize Clean Spa is actually owned by Feet for Life. I started experiencing recurring foot pain and decided I would make an appointment. I was able to easily request an appointment using the website. I received a call from the office the next day to finalize the date and time.

I was not very happy with the practice. The wait is absolutely horrible. I waited over 30 mins both times and saw the Dr. Horwitz for less than 15 mins combined. It took me 3 follow up phone calls to get an appt for an injection that Dr. Horwitz recommended. I canceled the appt.

I decided to get a second opinion from an Orthopedic specialist. I'm glad I did because I was told that the injection would have made my situation worse. The Ortho doc told me that I had a broken bone in my foot.

I'm not going to say stay away from this guy since I only saw him twice, but I won&apos

Dr. Horwitz is by far the BEST out there. After visiting 2 other doctors for my foot pain and still nothing working I went to Feet for Life and Dr. Horwitz. After the 1st visit my foot pain is gone. Now this pain has been with me for a few years and it will take a few treatments to fix but Dr. Horwitz got it in just one visit. The other doctors each had me in for three visits each with sets of x-rays including an expensive MRI and NO answers. Feet for Life got it right.

"DO NOT GO SEE DR. MICHAEL HORWITZ"

I spent $500 at Feet For Life and did exactly what they instructed in order to cure the pain in my left foot, including a cortisone shot and purchasing an extra $85 pair of Vibram FiveFingers shoes. This brand of shoes is now the subject of a $3.75M class-action lawsuit.

But when I returned for my follow-up appointment, Dr. Michael Horwitz couldn't be bothered to show up. I repeat -- he never showed! No explanation, no advanced warning, no nothing. And this is after I drove two hours from Columbia, Mo. Nor did Horwitz return phone calls or
