Services
You can't take the boy from the farm. Alan grew up on the acreage that now calls Hartland Winery home. His grandfather and his father and now a 3rd generation is using the land to make a living. When Alan planted a vineyard and then started making wine in Brenda's kitchen in 2006, there was never any thought of opening a winery.
If you are planning on coming with a group of 12 or more please let us know ahead of time via phone or email with the date and the estimated time of arrival. This will allow us to make sure we have plenty of staff on duty to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Per Indiana State Law, no alcohol may be consumed on the property unless it was made and sold by Hartland Winery; so no beer, liquor, or other wine.
A local musician with worldly experience, Jim Weber has been entertaining people since 1968. Add Erica Lee and you have a really great duo. Their popular covers include Motown, Blues, Island, Folk, and Classic hits that appeal to many generations. Karlea Boleyn and Andy Mauch are a vocal and acoustic guitar duo from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Although it is not a large facility, it does have seasonal outdoor seating. However, everything else compensates for it. The facility is spotless. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you decide to stay after tasting, rinse glasses in between tastings and give new glasses. There are also games for you and your friends to play while you are hanging out!! We had a great time while we were here.

Drove about an hour to discover closing 3 hours early on a Sat. evening for a private party, 3 hours seems a bit excessive to me. Most likely won't make another trip back. Have heard good things about this winery. Guess I'll just spend the wine fund money at Kroger, stay home and have popcorn!

Small winery but very nice people running it, and a warm atmosphere. Definitely would like to go back. A plus is they also have a small selection of beer if you are not into wine.

Enjoyed wine tasting with several cousins. We chose to meet at this location as our great aunt owned the farm where the winery is located many years ago. Had the opportunity to talk with the owner and hear the history of the winery. Staff had no problem with us hanging out all afternoon to visit and share old photos. We ordered several food items, all were tasty and service was quick. We also purchased wine to take home and share with family.
Hope to visit again when in the area!

Our first Harvest Host night and this place could not have been more perfect! Stayed here 8/28/2020 and it was awesome! They were getting set up for their Friday night with a band when we arrived. Owner, Brenda, showed us where to park by the wildflower garden. Had a lovely wine tasting, bought a bottle, ordered their wood fired BBQ pizza and listened to the band, watched the sun go down. Highly recommend!

I visited Hartland after they first opened. This visit is several years later. The facility is a decent size with a roomy tasting bar for about 12 people. The outdoor seating is nice and roomy. Overall the place has a nice feel. It isn't as large as some of the other wineries in the area. However it is comfortable and wasn't over crowded on this visit.

During this time we tasted 6 wines. You get 3 free tastings per person. Our server was very knowledgeable about their wines. He had a good general knowledge of wines to compare his wines to. He was very friendly and professional

Another Harvest Hosts stop for us, and definitely a favorite! Met and had a tasting with the owner, who is super friendly, welcoming and had a great taste in wine! We prefer the sweet, fruiter wine, which seems to be a majority of what they had. Think we left with at least 5 bottles! Whenever we're in the area, we'll defy be back!

What a fabulous winery. Great wine and great people. This one of the smaller wineries but it is quality through and through. They have added food to their great wine and beer selections. Tonight we hung out with friends, had street tacos and wraps, listened to live music , and enjoyed some great wines. Love this place !!

Great winery! Enjoyed the tasting so much we got a glass of wine and sat on the patio to enjoy the beautiful weather! Didn't realize that they have a food menu that is prepared right there. It looked amazing and we will definitely go back for the food and wine!

I have been here three times in the last two years. I love the ambiance and the wines are pretty good. I only had a problem when the friendly tasting room gentleman started to pour my last tasting from a TRUMP-head pourer. I have seen these types of pewter-styled pourers before and even own one in the shape of a moose.

I immediately stopped the young man and asked him nicely to remove it from the bottle...which he graciously did before he poured our tastings. We continued to enjoy a bottle afterward and even played Corn Hole with some folks on the patio.

Upon checkout, I asked the lady/owner

Don't let the size of this winery fool you. It is filled with exceptional, prize winning wines.
The owner was on site and quite gracious. If visiting northeast Indiana, it is well worth you time.

Wasn't a fan of their wines. Only found one wine that was decent. It's a newer winery so their wines don't have much body to them yet. They do have nice live music though.

Their pourings are very meager as well. I'm from Indiana but live in California so i'm used to much better wine and much generous pours so I guess I would be a tougher critic than the average person.

Hartland Winery HAS upped the ante!! They've grown the numbers/styles of wines, not to mention their vineyard as well! I cannot say I've ever had a bad tasting wine there-I've been impressed with the caliber of taste and the packaging as of late!
Bravo, Hartland! Keep it up!

A small quaint building. Less than 50 ppl cleared to be in the building. Small patio that I didn't see any furniture on. We had generous pours on our tasting, and we loved the bottle designs. We noticed that there were a few games so when your enjoying your glass of wine you could play some games. Very nice, we will be back.

I've been to a lot of wineries in my life but this is by far my favorite! We live in Ohio but my husband works at a company that has an office in Kendallville, so sometimes when he's there he gets some down time to explore, and luckily he found this gem! He figured I would like it and he was right. Its absolutely adorable, and I love how it's decorated. It's literally on a country road in the middle of a cornfield. I hate stuffy pretentious wineries and this is the exact opposite! Everyone here is so friendly and I love the laid back vibe. On to the wine, I really haven&apos

Tried Hartland for the first time this weekend. I sampled 9 wines and 2 slushies and found myself loving all but 2 of them. The atmosphere is fun however, I gave a 4 star bc of the seating. We had no problem finding a seat but we were there at a non busy time. In the winter, it would be hard to sit inside as they only have a few tables. They had great music by John Durnell and super friendly staff! We had a fun relaxing time and will be back!
