Our highly trained counselors have proudly served the residents of Wilson and surrounding counties for over 20 years. We have six full-time counselors that provide assistance to individuals of all ages. At Hendrick Counseling Services, we offer a variety of services including individual, couple, family, EMDR, and anger management counseling, as well as psychological testing.

Kim is the owner of Hendrick Counseling Services and opened the practice in 1998. A native of Lebanon, Kim is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has been involved in the mental health field since 1991. She received both her Bachelor's degree (Psychology) and Master's degree (Social Work) from the University of Tennessee.
April is licensed as a Senior Psychological Examiner, Health Service Provider, and has been working in the mental health field since 1999. April received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Montevallo in 1998, and completed her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University in 2001.
Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee. She received her B.A. from Lee University in Psychology and her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. She specializes in working with young girls and women from ages 10 to 35 who struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, eating disorders, chronic dieting, and people with weight and body image concerns.
Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a passion for helping others. She specializes in working with individuals who are struggling with trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and substance use. Lauren received her Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Studies and her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and has been helping others ever since.

I can't say enough positive things about Hendrick Counseling. It was an uncomfortable step to take to see a counselor. Kim made that easy. The value she has provided me and my family will forever be appreciated. There are people that are truly gifted at what they do. Kim fits into the top of that category and has surrounded herself with a team that has the ability to truly change lives.

I have/had a crippling anxiety thing going on. Lots of doctors till I found one that referred me to hendrix l, and it was a godsend. April Bowen, is in my opinion, the best counselor available. It took time, but I went from completely non functional to a year later almost completely back to my old self. I don’t believe that I could’ve made it without her services. Many thanks to Hendrix and to April in particular.

Locating the Staff at Hendrick Counseling Services has been the best blessing I've had... since the fatal cancer that attacked my husband in 2016 I have gleaned wisdom, courage and shared great pain and confusion with the lead counselor Kim Hendrick... she is easy to talk to and open up to, as well as having a demeanor of confidence and skills in the area of the mind and the way we play out our lives. While she listens and interacts her conclusions and suggestions are applicable, attainable, and helpful for the weeks ahead!

I would recommend April Bowen to anyone in need. she has be the best therapist. She is understanding, listens, laughs with you. she also helps you to understand what's going on. I suffer from p.t.s.d and anxiety with depression and stress. In the 6 months I have been seeing her we have noticed a little change. Thank you April, much love for you.

Let me start by saying my child and I never felt so welcome, comfortable in this setting ever. April Was assisting us and TRULY TRULY was incredible. My son felt so comfortable with her, she was so warm and… inviting.
