Often, everyday stressors become overwhelming and begin to take their toll on otherwise healthy, capable individuals. We tend to take on too many tasks that leave us feeling overwhelmed and underappreciated. A therapist's role is to help the client take a look at unhealthy lifestyle choices, and to explore and develop tools that will lead to a better overall sense of well-being.

Beyond this however, clients who choose to visit a therapist with a specific stressor will find that the knowledge and education that an expert can provide leads to a better understanding and ultimate resolution of their concern. And, if nothing else, therapists provide an unbiased ear for which to share concerns and worries that the client may not feel comfortable sharing with those closest to them.
