Tenuta's Delicatessen & Liquors
In 1920, John N. Tenuta left Italy to seek his fortune in the United States. His dream was to open his own business. Together, John and his wife Lydia ran the small corner store, (at that time just a bit larger than a two-car garage) that served malts and sundaes; it also had a small deli counter and a single aisle to provide grocery items to their customers.

In time, John's only son, Ralph, became chief promoter for the store. Since then, a third generation of Ralph's seven children has been involved to various degrees in the operation. All the siblings have helped in the store from the time they were old enough to sort bottles and sweep the parking lot.

In 1926, John N. Tenuta left his native Italy for the United States. It wasn't until 1950, however, that John and Lydia realized their dream with the purchase of the store, which came to be known as Tenuta's Delicatessen. Over the years, many things have changed in our store, but our commitment to quality and the best possible customer service has always remained the same.
Semi-soft cheese that is made of whole milk for a mild flavor and creamy texture. This cheese has smaller eyes than a traditional Swiss and will enhance any dish or sandwich. You can't miss it! With the distinctive marbling and blue-gray veines, this type of cheese has a crumbly texture and a tangy flavor.

Wonderful Italian grocery and liquor store. I make a regular trip from Chicago to stock up on their pastas and sauces. Reasonably priced as well.

I would rather come here than Disney World! Anytime I am within a 1 hour drive I always come by. Reminds me of my grandparents and I love that. I always spend as much money as possible. Most of the time I don't even look at the prices because I know I want everything and it's all going to be so amazing.

Always one of my favorite stops anywhere. The most complete Italian deli and grocery I've ever been to.
I got what I was looking for and left happy.

This morning we had perfect timing, we were 3rd at the deli counter.
The smoked string cheese is the best that you can find in the area. We also purchased bulk Italian sausage, smoked mozzarella, garlic stuffed red peppers, garlic stuffed olives and biscotti.
The selection here is awesome, The staff is very helpful.

This place is amazing! I could spend hours there and still not see everything they sell/make. Try there take and bake pizzas. They are cheap and delicious! If you've never been here, go there, its worth it!

I went yesterday for the first time, but not the last. What a lovely family owned business! Everything I brought home was delicious, from cheese to meat. Excellent deli, amazing selection of anything you can think of - and a staff that went above and beyond. If you drink, this is the place for you. They had libations I’ve never seen! If you’re Italian or love anything that is, it is well worth the drive! Thank you again, Anne T. ❤️
