Absolutely the worst Dr I have ever dealt with. Let me prefaces this with my husband went to him several years ago. Dr. Unger never bothered to look at any imaging or diagnosis from other doctors. So my husband left. I was warned but thought I'll try him since he is also a neurologist. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have some other chronic pain and was wanting to find out what all was wrong. He spent less than 2 minutes with me. in that time noticed that I was prescribed medicine for my ADHD. It was a relatively new prescription and I told him that I would talk to my primary and see if there

I saw Dr Ungar several years ago, he would order all these tests which I didn't feel were necessary, I thought he was doing it just to bill the insurance. I did like him he was kind and funny. I quit going thinking all this testing is insane. I should have kept with him, and just asked more questions instead of jumping to conclusions. I am still suffering, still have lightheadedness and problems focusing when I have these episodes, but I heard about ocular migraines the other day and it now makes sense and I now know why he was doing all the tests. Us patients need to understand he is ordering

In 5 visits I think I actually talked to him a total of 5 minutes. Doesn't care what you have to say. Staff can't ever find the paperwork of tests and things you already had done. Then after 5 visits, tests and lost information he tells me to be patient, he can't treat my pain properly until he gets to know me. What a QUACK!!!!

The doctor and his staff are good at what they do and made me feel like they had a real interest in helping me achieve recovery. Kind of a mad house in the waiting room and it took over 2 hours from check in until I left. Not terrible but still a bit hectic.
Still for the most part a great choice for pain management. We live in an opiophobic age where junkies have no issues getting their methadone or suboxone but us real chronic pain patients are struggling to get even some of our necessary meds. They are aware of all this and do their best to tailor your medicine regiment based on medical opinion
