Farshad Moftakhar is a cosmetic dentistry specialist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Prior to receiving his DDS Degree from the University of Pacific in 1990, he earned his B.S. in Biology from UCLA in 1987. Since that time, Dr. Moftakhar received his Certification of Dental Implant Surgery in 1992 and has established and maintained cosmetic dental practices in Beverly Hills for over two decades.

Absolutely a lazy hygienist. She must have been LAST IN HER HYGIENIST CLASS AND BARELY GRADUATED. Not even Kidding!! The dental hygienist deep clean is actually a regular cleaning, The ONLY time you'll ever get a proper cleaning is when they do a deep clean, BUT the deep clean is NOT a deep clean , just a regular cleaning that their lazy hygienist calls a deep clean, I like the doc but I agree they bill denti-cal for anything they can BUT PERFORM SUBSTANDARD SERVICE typical dental service, such as cleanings. And IF YOU CAN'T EVEN CLEAN? You aren't fit to be in the Business.

Doctor is good but his main dental hygienist is horrible. She doesn't actually clean the teeth. She goes through the motions in a very superficial way, never cleaning or scaling the teeth properly.
I told them I will not be back. On the way out, office manager Carmen refused to give me the typical antibiotic prescription after the cleaning for heart patients, said she'd call it in instead. Guess what? After the bad feedback I gave her? She never called in the prescription!! That was not by accident.

I made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth out. When I arrived at the office I was greeted with kindness and asked to come in right away. I was extremely nervous about the pain I might endure during the procedure and voiced my concerns. The nurse was so kind and even held my hand while I received the local anesthesia shots. She gave me all kinds of advice to get through the procedure calmly and smoothly. When the dentist came in he was also kind and easy to talk to. He reassured me the procedure would go smoothly and promised me I wouldn't feel a thing and if I did just to let him know.

My initial cleaning and examination appointments were awesome. The office is always inviting and comfortable. At Pacific Dental they do a great job explaining what work needs to be done and provide a detailed plan with estimated costs. My follow-up appointments for some dental work were great even though it was the beginning of the year, and extremely busy each person from front desk to the dentists were very attentive to my needs, and made sure I was taken care. I would definitely recommend Pacific Dental to anyone I know. Everyone takes the extra effort in the clinic to make sure you are comfortable

I recently visited Dr. Moftakhar for a cleaning and check up. I have been a patient of Dr. Moftakhar's for over twenty years now! After I checked in, I waited for less than five minutes before I was called in for my cleaning. During my cleaning, the hygienist continually made sure that I was okay and was comfortable throughout. Dr. Moftakhar went over my x-rays with me and gave me some tips on how to preserve my smile. One thing I love about his office is the reminders I get via text leading up to my appointment. I'll be back in six months!

Extremely disappointing experience. During my first appointment -- which was supposed to be a six month examination and cleaning -- I also underwent gum scaling and irrigation at Dr. Moftakhar's suggestion. Only when leaving the office was I informed that I was being charged $380. My insurance plan ultimately informed me that this procedure is not covered and that I should nave been informed of the fact by the staff.
I was also told that I needed two extractions and a bridge and was quoted a price of approximately $4000 after insurance. A second opinion with a different dentist revealed

I really like them! Been seeing Dr. Moftakhar for over a year now and have never had a bad experience. The location is very central, clean, and updated. The staff is friendly, attentive, and punctual. The Dr. is thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and personable.

My teeth (top and bottom) were really (really!) crooked and for years. I put off treatment because every dentist I visited told me that I would need to have several teeth removed in order to straighten my teeth and would need full train track braces on the outside of my teeth.
I was not down for that NO NO NO.... Dr Farshad Moftakhar said it was possible without removing teeth and that I could opt for incognito braces (behind my teeth). I haven't gone to a dentist in well over ten years since I left my old dentist. I have trust issues but knew I had to get my teeth cleaned and looked at by a professional. Came in for an appointment. Sat in the chair for 45 minutes before anyone would look at me. The Dentist said hey for 30 seconds. He seemed nice. Told me I had a cavity. Tried to upsell me on 5 things and left.
Dental Hygenist gave me the most abbrevaited and lazy cleaning I've ever had. Stopped in the middle to answer her cell phone.
Went to another dentist for a second opinion. They found a cavity Farshad missed. Said that the caivty he saw wasn't even a cavity.

I was referred to Dr. Moftakhar by a friend who had been treated by him for many years. At first I was a little hesitant of any dentist in Beverly Hills who are probably used to treating Hollywood stars all the time and I was just a regular person who wanted a better smile.
When I met him he couldn’t have been nicer. He explained the procedure very well and the costs associated with it, and his staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating.

Dr. Farshad extracted all four of my wisdom teeth and he made it very easy and painless for me!! They talked me through the entire process making me feel really safe and comfortable. The pain medication was really effective. I had no problem eating soft foods after the extraction. The follow up appointment to take the stitches out was very convenient for me. Best dentist around. I've been coming here since I was a kid (I'm 32 now) and have had the best experience. Even when I was living abroad I would come back every 6 months for my check ups by Dr. Moftakhar. Carmen and the team are amazing and always look out for me. After being told by a new dentist that I had 12 cavities, I was skeptical, as I had never had any dental issues in my life. Friends and family urged me to get a second opinion, so I went on Yelp! to find a new dentist in my network and promptly made an appointment.

I can not thank Dr. Moftakhar and his staff enough for making my recent visit to his office a pleasurable one. When I walked in I was greeted by a warm welcome by Carmen and was called to see the Doc before my seat could get warm. As always, when I walked in to see the doc, I was greeted by a warm smile and a welcoming vibe. As always, his office was clean and in tip top shape. One thing I have noticed is that the equipment in the office has changed as the years have elapsed - he's up to snuff with new technology as it comes out. Well I needed to have a tooth pulled. Very painful. What in to the office and was Greeted by two nice women at the check in. Waited only ABOUT min. And it was OFF TO X-RAYS MARIA DID my X-rays!! GOODNESS THAT WOMAN IS A PERFECTIONIST. I kid you not !!!! After she would take your X-rays She explained to ON the computer monitor with teeth where located in my Mouth. I feel horrible!
