My name is Dr. Vanloon. As a teen growing up in Pontiac Michigan, I had chronic back pain that caused me to seek out chiropractic care. It made such a positive impact that it completely changed my life, leading me to choose to become a doctor of chiropractic myself! After completing my undergraduate studies at Oakland Community College and Wayne State University, I enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

I've gone to Dr. Vanloon for several years for back, neck and migraine issues as needed. I have also brought my young son to her. Recently, she has also been helping me with issues related to GERD. YES - she can help with Acid Reflux! (Seriously I don't think there's anything she can't help with!) I have to say the work she has done on me has been life changing. My pain level was at a point where even while taking a combination of Zantac, Prilosec and Tums every night, I was in pain after dinner. I'm so happy I found Synergy Wellness! I was looking specifically for gentle chiropractic services. Dr. VanLoon is amazing! From my very first visit I loved her immediately!! After several treatments my back pain was improving, and now I'm pain free. I love Dr. VanLoon's technique, I love her passion, and her energy!

I saw Dr. Vanloon for right neck pain and she is amazing. After taking a full history (who else remembers that one neck injury from 20 years ago?) and completing an exam, she performed an adjustment that resolved my pain in the timeframe she gave me. I have never sought chiropractic care in the past, however I am very pleased with the treatment and resolution I received from Dr. Vanloon. I continue to return to her office on a prn basis for follow up of other old injuries that flare now and again, on the advice of my PMD.

I have been receiving adjustments from Dr VanLoon for many years. I was skeptical at first because I had never been to a chiropractor, let alone one who uses the KST method. To my shock, i felt immediate relief on my first adjustment and became a believer. I have continued to receive Dr VanLoon's adjustments for various reasons- sore muscles from overdoing it at the gym, kinks in my neck from sleeping funny, car accidents, popped jaw from chewing (I know, odd right?), prenatal care, postpartum care, newborn baby adjustments, and stress in my shoulders and back. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vanloon. She is caring, knowledgeable and most of all -- very effective. (Plus, she's fun and funny!) Although I have been a fan of chiropractic for almost 25 years, the KST technique was a welcome change to the traditional popping and cracking I had come to expect with previous practitioners. What a blessing it is to have confidence that no matter what happens, she will be able to help - whether it's immune system issues or structural problems. Amazing human being and highly skilled chiropractor. Love her. :-)

I haven't written a review yet and wanted my first one to be for Dr Vanloon! I've had many chiropractors over the years and would get some relief but all in all I felt it was maybe more in my head that it was helping than not. But a couple years ago I was consulting at a company that had the *worst* chairs I've ever had to sit in and I was having to slouch over my laptop in rock-hard chairs for 12 hours a day. I cannot say enough about Dr. Vanloon and Synergy Wellness. We followed her over from another practice and I am always so happy with that decision. She is genuinely one of the nicest and funniest people you will meet, which is important for a care provider. She strives to fit our family in whenever we need to get in for a quick tune up and keeps us on a good protocol throughout the year.
And she's also great at what she does from a technical standpoint. I believe in traditional medicine, but I also know that there are complimentary and alternative practices that add to your health as well

"Good" is not an adequate descriptor. Try "excellent" or perhaps "phenomenal". I had lower back lumbar area pain for several months, as well as neck pain from a big painting job I had recently done.
After the first (gentle) adjustment, I felt immediate relief/release and GET THIS virtually no back pain the next morning for the first time in months! Over the next few days the neck pain

I began seeing Dr. Vanloon while she was working at another popular Royal Oak chiropractic office. I almost always was assigned to her for my care and I "clicked" with her. When she left this practice to launch Synergy Wellness, I couldn't help but follow her! Luckily she accepted my new insurance and I was able to make a new appointment.
I was appreciative of the time she was able to take when doing her initial intake. This wasn't always the case before, but it seems that in her new practice she is able to give more specialized attention. No X-rays are used to my knowledge
