MD Custom Rx is an independent, family owned, Milwaukee area compounding pharmacy that differs from traditional pharmacies in that we do not dispense commercially manufactured pharmaceuticals. At MD Custom Rx, all prescriptions are custom-made for patients based on physician orders.
The pharmacy is stocked with raw pharmaceutical grade ingredients used in the preparation of medications for medical conditions, skin conditions, dental treatments, veterinary medicine and pediatric care.Unique equipment such as an ointment mill, powder blender, electronic balance, encapsulation machine, powder containment hood, and incubators are used by Monica Zatarski, PharmD and our professional staff to prepare custom prescriptions.

MD Custom Rx is a PCAB Accredited compounding pharmacy, certified to follow the highest level of prescription compounding standards. Responsive and professional. I trust MD Custom Rx for my compounded natural scripts. Their dispensing devices (for creams) always work well which is more than I can say for similar compounding pharmacy devices. In fact, I prefer purchasing from MD Custom vs others who are more convenient. Highly recommend.

After specifically informing the pharmacy of my insurance they assured me that if I paid for the medication, I could send a form in to my insurance company for reimbursement. I was just informed by the insurance company that the pharmacy knows that they are not in network and that there are other compounding pharmacies in the area that are in network. So instead of being honest, they happily took payment (for something I can't afford) knowing that I would have no recourse. Dishonesty is not a good look.

I have been very pleased with my MD Custom Rx experience. I had a prescription that I had been taking that was very expensive. With my high deductible, I was paying for it myself. A nurse practitioner had recommended a compound that was basically the same as my current prescription from MD Custom Rx. I still pay out of pocket, because my insurance doesn't cover compounds, but it is at a fraction of the price. The people working there are also friendly and helpful.

I was introduced to a product by Pharmacist Dan at one of his health seminars. He suggested that my wife try a product to would improve our immunity system. With the Pharmacy many miles away, I thought I could find the product closer to home and at a lower price. I was wrong, they offer the best value in town.

MD Custom Rx is simply the best! I used another hormone compounding company for decades who will go unnamed, whose service really went downhill after a change in ownership several years ago. I was hesitant to switch after such a long history, but man am I glad I did. The service I have received from every single pharmacist I've talked to at MD Custom has been outstanding! I've been getting a prescription from MD Custom for about 4 years now. During that time, I've found everyone at the Brookfield location to be incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They've provided educational information for me and to pass along to a different (non-prescribing) doctor. They've also worked with my prescribing doctor to adjust the dosages over time as my needs have changed. I'm incredibly thankful for this company, it's owners (who have helped me directly several times) and their staff.

I started going to this pharmacy when they had a location on Port Washington Drive in Glendale. They have since then closed that location and work exclusively out of the Brookfield location. The pharmacist and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The last time I went to pick up a prescription, it took forever, even though it was ready. It was busy, so I milled around for 20 minutes looking at supplements and health brochures. It's a good compounding pharmacy. It's on the pricier side now. For example I called MD Custom Rx for a prescription I need long term. They quoted me $84 for one

One of the things they do that is very cool is that they're able to combine various individual meds into a single dosage form in different type of delivery systems; i. e., creams, ointments, lozenges, troches, etc.
The folks here are very professional, service oriented and friendly. When you walk into the building, you immediately sense that it is a very different and professional pharmaceutical business. This isn't Walgreens
