Services
Wave was originally established in 1938 as the Narragansett Electric Employee's Federal Credit Union. In 2003 we merged with Hasbro Employee's Federal Credit Union and in 2008 merged with Anchor Federal Credit Union, formerly Warwick Municipal Employee's Federal Credit Union. Then in 2011, we merged with Cottrell Federal Credit Union headquartered in Westerly, RI.

My fiance and I love Wave!! The girls that work here always greet me and treat me so kindly. This bank has helped us a few times when we encountered hardship. However, seeing a few nasty comments shocks me because no matter what kind of day the girls are having they always smile and treat you kindly. I highly recommend banking with wave Federal Credit Union. However, we also do not get charged maintenance fees. there are no hidden fees of any kind

Had high hopes when I met with them originally. Appeared eager to help. Made up a story about jumbo loan products on a HELOC and immediately cut LTV lending rate without further explanation. Loan officer and underwriter played off each other and then changed blame to an unknown third party at the bank. Went to BankRI with same information and they were able to complete the transaction without a hiccup. I have worked with many local banks and credit unions commercially and residentially, I thought it would be the same experience with Wave. Stay away, don't waste your time. There are too many banks

WORST BANK EVER! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! THEY LIE ALL THE TIME! DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK! SPECIALLY THE STAFF FROM GREENWOOD AVE BRANCH, HORRIBLE PEOPLE! AND THE MANAGER IS WORST! This bank has a few nice people working but the loan people like marie morrell and david will not help you get ahead with a loan if they dont like you at wave they wont even call you back if they think that there might be a little problem i was a good member there and they could care less go to naviant credit union its better

I have used the branch for shared branching and I had found them to be easy and efficient. Therefore I went in to open a business and personal checking account. However, the woman, Lori, was rude, abrupt, and brusk. She didn't offer any time frame and for her help. When she did have us over she was very short and didn't offer any help with our questions. She then asked for two forms of ID from me, I was surprised and said "I've worked in banking, that must be new!" And she made a snide comment on reply. I said "I don't like your attitude" and walked out.

I use the Wave Credit Union for shared branching with another credit union out of CT. This is a traditional bank/credit union. The interior is somewhat upscale, several offices, and employees to fill them.
I have never had to wait in line at this bank and find most of the tellers to be friendly and competent. There drive thru ATM is open 24/7 however it would be nice if the bank were open longer hours M-W ( they close at 4).
You avoid several fees and surcharges doing banking with a credit union as opposed to a regular a bank, however if you go there for shared branching make sure when you

Nice prompt never a long wait, connected to my credit union in California. I think they are part of a network of credit unions so that's cool and convenient. Only open till 4 M-F then 5 on Thursday and Friday.
Easy to get to off 95, quick service and they're always nice. No problems. I just do general personal checking so I'm not sure about how they are with business banking.
Remember, BoA is the devil (as is Chase) and your local credit union will actually SERVE YOU. Not the other way around. No creepy $35 'overdraft' fees (which usually were always a bank error, wrong
