Rhode Island Credit Union has experienced many changes throughout our history. The Board and Management have continued to respond to industry changes in an effort to keep up with an ever changing financial and technological market. Our unique business model where credit union members are the owners of the institution proves to be as effective today as it was in 1946 when Rhode Island Credit Union was founded.
The idea of serving only the needs of credit union members, not distant shareholders is what guides our decision-making process. It is inevitable that changes will be made from time to time to keep the Credit Union viable and competitive. Like every other business, we adapt to the business realities of our time.

I have been a customer for more than 20 yrs and never had a problem….When I went in for debt consolidation they were more then helpful and help me achieve my goal and as a member there I got a terrific rate…..BUT CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A APP OR A BETTER EXPERIENCE FOR ONLINE USE ITS ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING but all in all in use case they have been stellar and always helpful…I only use the providence branch though so speak for them specifically.

Worst bank ever. Their policies make no sense. No two branches follow the same rules. Tammy is rude and speaks to her customers like children. Their online banking is useless. They claim to have to do everything in person. Maybe of they updated their technology they wouldn't have a problem. The only bank where I can't access my account online and do anything. Closing my accounts so I never have to go there again.

I have done 2 car loans with this credit union and both with Marilyn Meas. She worked hard for us, very professional, answered all our questions. And when we found a car she did her best to give us a quick closing. She's in the Cranston office. Great employee and thank you for working hard on our behalf.

The absolute worst banking institution I have ever dealt with. None of the staff members ever smile. The online banking is very “clunky” to say the least. They aren’t open on Saturdays. You’re unable to transfer funds to other account holders (wife, children, friends). The monthly fees for having an account are also more expensive than other major banks which offer much more. Save yourself a headache and thank me later.

Provides outdated banking, online features are sparse at best. There is no banking app. Service is mediocre. To top it off there is not one bathroom available to members out of the entire building at the branch on Francis street in Providence. This bank just doesn't offer much if your looking to bank somewhere in Providence, keep looking is my recommendation.

Walked in to open an account and sat in the lobby for fifteen minutes without anyone saying a word to me. Two reps, one helping a customer and the other sitting at her computer looking busy. No acknowledgment. SonI am bringing my business somewhere else. Why Sprint partners with this credit union I’ll never understand.
