Unfortunately I can’t give zero stars. This is the worst bus company I’ve ever had to deal with. The kids are picked up late every day and dropped off late every day. Sometimes the bus doesn’t even show up. I Called to speak with the management and they were nothing but rude and hung up on me while asking questions. One day my middle school child came home and said her bus driver was asking kids for directions and driving with papers in her hand the whole ride . I think it’s ridiculous that this company expects us to pay for a service that clearly is not Consistently provided . Example

Dangerous drivers. I was at a stop light in the left lane SALTER bus was in the right lane ( which is clearly marked right turn only). Light turned green, I proceeded straight and so did the bus illegally-and purposely forced me out of the single lane into in going traffic. I called the company with the bus #, time, and exact location. Also gave them a description of the driver..... they could not have cared less. I would never trust anyone I cared for to be driven by this company.

For a company that describes themselves as excellent I have discovered that that statement could not be further from the truth. I personally took classes to become a driver for Salter Transportation. Upon my second class we were stuck in a storage closet that they called a class room in the back of their auto shop. The mechanics were running busses in the shop and filled the class room up with exhaust fumes and the instructor just opened a door and continued the class while I was choking.
My girl friend already worked for them and got cancer. This went on for about three years wit a lot of harassment

This morning my sons bus was very late. I spoke with a dispatcher and he provided excellent customer service, information and truly listened to my concerns about issues with transportation this school year! While he couldn’t send a helicopter to pick my son up (lol), he turned my day around! Thank you!!

Cannot say enough of how easy and helpful it was to work with Salter Transportation for our wedding -- particularly Lee Lamkin. She was so thoughtful, yet straight to the point, on what the options are on their busing needs. She made sure we had all the info and gave us her advice on traffic, timing and the number of buses we'd need without being too pushy. She even gave us the phone numbers of the drivers so that if we had any issues we could call them directly. They were the most reasonably priced service for the North Shore as well. They are really run like a personal, family business.

Terrible. Completely unresponsive. A local hotel put me in touch with Salter Transportation so I could book something for my wedding. Even the hotel had trouble getting them to respond. Once they finally said they had availability I was put in touch with them. I have emailed, called and emailed again... haven't heard a word back.
