Olympic Tavern
Brunch with us till 4pm - breakfast burgers, burritos, chilaquiles, a killer steak & eggs, plus beermosas and loaded up bloody marys. Then after 4pm we switch to dinner for our weekly prime rib roast with baked potato, green beans, horseradish cream and au jus. Available in house or order curbside via phone or our website.

Every Wednesday, a $3.50 whiskey shot of the week (Benchmark Bourbon this time) and our three piece all natural Amish fried chicken dinner for $14. Want to sweat a little? We're making a fresh batch of Nashville hot dust using the scorpion peppers we grew in our garden last fall. No upcharge for your fried chicken, but no refunds if it's too either!.

As always, great food and service. The Olympic is a reliably good choice for a wonderful meal.

The atmosphere is great seems like the matter where you sit you feel like you still have a private area food is great but menu is somewhat limited probably due to covid

So sad this place has really gone down hill. Hostess was rude, menu was void of every dish we knew and loved. Entrees were tiny and didn’t include salad or bread. Larger salads (only 3 choices now) are half the size they used to be and didn’t include bread. Food was expensive and we left hungry. Gone are the amazing (and ample) cheesy chicken, No Bread Fred sandwich, seafood salad, etc. The walls look like they haven’t been painted in 20 yrs..nail holes everywhere...rust around the bathroom fixtures. Wish someone would buy it and bring it back to it’s former glory.

Possibly the best bar in Rockford. Great food and fantastic beer selection. Service is always great. It's kinda like Cheers but nobody really knows my name, which is fine.

This place has the best cheese curds I’ve ever had (I’ve had many throughout IL, MN, and WI). Their outdoor patio area is a great place to enjoy a meal or have a drink with some friends. The reason I only gave it 4 stars was because the rest of the food is very ok. We’ve tried burgers, fries, and a few other dishes but none of them were anything special. The cheese curds are enough to keep me coming back though.

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. Great to see an old favorite survive in these times. Sad their menu is limited compared to what it used to be, but I'm betting suppliers can't provide all the food options they used to. But favorites are still available. The fish and chips was excellent.

Reduced menu, not reduced quality.
The Bison burger was incredible, the Bison Chili was great but a little spicier than I usually get.
Shannon A is a very knowledgeable and friendly server.

Beautiful place with a truly unique exterior, a cozy interior atmosphere of dark wood and low lighting, and a refreshing and open patio with a great design and good lighting. Waitress was very pleasant. Bit of a longer wait then expected to get us situated, even with a larger party that we had. Waitress was very attentive though. Great food and drinks. Cheese curds are amazing! Definently some of the best I have ever had. Will be coming back soon!

Pretty long wait, about an hour. Half the restaurant was empty but two servers had called in. My server was very attentive and any mistakes were rectified. Food was decent. Possibly overpriced. But, I guess the nostalgic, semi-90s-bar atmosphere is what you pay for. Small cheese pizza was 9.99 and the Fish Fry was 16.99 (what you see is what you got).
