Three Bears Lodge
Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico at an elevation of 8,750 feet above sea level, the quaint village of Red River and the Three Bears Lodge is the perfect place for your family vacation. When you want a break from the summer heat, the mild days and cool nights during the beautiful spring and summer seasons are ideal for outdoor adventure.

Try fishing, hiking, four wheeling, horseback riding, whitewater rafting - or maybe even a hot-air balloon ride over the breathtaking Red River valley. An annual abundance of snow fills the Red River with rushing waters just a stone's throw from the Three Bears Lodge. Kick back and share the soothing natural abundance with the "locals" - deer, hummingbirds and perhaps even a bear or two.

Wow! Loved the hospitality. Fire pit, s'mores, and good company. The cabin was great, cable tv, very clean and wonderful hosts. Right in the middle of town, next to the mountain. I can only imagine how nice it is in the winter for snowboarding and ski season. Our cabin was a two bedroom, stove, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Nice bathroom with access from both bedrooms.

My husband and I came to Red River for a little getaway from life's realities for a bit and this was just perfect for an overnight stay. The owners were very friendly and located in a prime area of town. It was a clean and cozy room. The beds were not very comfortable but all in all a nice place to stay.

Our family of 5 (Dad, Mom, Daughter 17, Daughter 13, Daughter 8) rented a 2 bedroom cabin on the stay three nights get the 4th night free deal. I cant even begin to tell you how thrilled we were with our stay. The 2 bedroom cabin was much more spacious than anticipated and accommodated all of our needs. The wood burning stove, with it's endless supply of wood, was a special treat for us Dallas natives. We loved the smores night with the owners Chris and Debbie. They were so incredibly hospitable and Chris, also being manager of the Red River ski school, gave my wife some pointers on her

My family has been staying at Three Bears Lodge for the past 6-7 years and have always told me how much fun they have when they stay. A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I tagged a long with my family and stayed at Three Bears for the week.

The staff is fantastic, accommodating, and very friendly! My girlfriend and I stayed in an efficiency (#10 I believe) that backed up right to the Copper lift. The efficiency was very cozy and a great place to kick off the boots after a long day of snowboarding.

One of the nights we were there, Three Bears had Smores Night and it was AMAZING.

I will always

Very nice accommodations right next to the best and least busy lift. Right across the street from great dining.

The ducks and deer roaming around added to the wildlife experience.

I loved the SMORE night. The wood burning iron stove was an excellent touch.

I hope the prices this ski season are in par with last year's great rates!

Love, love, love this place. It's my favorite place to stay in Red River. The owners, Chris and Debbie, make you feel like you're part of the family, and the cabins are always comfortable and clean. They're nothing fancy - if you're looking for plush, stay in whatever city you hail from. These are historic cabins that have been refurbished with new beds, flat screen televisions and a great rug or two, but you still feel like you're actually in the mountains. I'm always incredibly sad when I call and they're booked for the weekend I plan to be in Red River
