Services
The Retreat has many amenities ranging from full kitchens in every cabin, to a private porch for your family to enjoy. Each cabin is also equipped with satellite TV and Wifi, we cannot at all time guarantee the functionality of our wireless or satellite TV services. The Retreat has a large pavilion and chiminea area for socializing and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The Retreat at Angel Fire is the perfect place to get away and recharge. The Retreat offers 12 acres of beautiful New Mexico wilderness at your fingertips. On a long morning walk, you will come across a sweet family of deer grazing, maybe some turkeys settling in for the morning, and you will be able to hear nothing but birds and the sounds of nature.
We want to make you aware that the Retreat at Angel Fire is undergoing many changes. From cabin remodels, updates to our pavillion to improving our fire safety. We make every effort to keep the work between 9am -5pm Monday thru Saturday and make effort to keep noise to a minimum but know that may not always be possible.

Bait and switch. What you book is not what you get. I don't get to take many vacations and was so looking forward to relaxing and drinking coffee on the deck looking at the forest. Which is why I paid extra to book a specific cabin with a view even though I didn't need 2 bedrooms. Well, they changed my reservation and didn't tell me. I wish they had told me so I could have changed my dates or stayed somewhere else. Now I will drink coffee beside a construction zone looking at a road.
The cabin also doesn't have a table as was pictured. That may not be a big deal to some but my back hurts when

We really enjoyed the porch! We sat outside with our morning coffee and at dusk and watched the deer graze through the property grounds. The bed was so very comfortable!! We loved the sheets and also the plush towels in the bathroom! The showerhead was heavenly! We were pleasantly surprised by the high end appliances in the kitchen and the excellent selection of coffee and tea. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

We stayed at Deer 1 and it was terrific, the cabin was large enough for the two of us and it was clean. We had a great time and our host was good at texting every morning to see if there was anything we needed.
The only issue I had was we brought a mother in a trailer and because of the condition of the driveway it didn’t allow us to take the bike out of the trailer on the property. But in all fairness, they did send us a video of the driveway so we know before we arrived that it was going to be difficult.

My friend and I had a fantastic stay at The Retreat at Angel Fire. The accommodations were great - a cute, rustic cabin with a fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, and shower supplies. The staff (especially Aly!) was SO nice and responsive during our entire trip. We got text messages asking if we needed anything, and our requests were promptly responded to! Great hiking right from the property, and we had some nice late-March snow. It was so beautiful, truly the cabin-in-the-woods experience we'd hoped for. I hope to visit again in the future!
