I had tried this new place and loved the personalized attention and professionalism from Dolores. Truly an expert in her field and very patient as she took the time to explain to me what she thought would help my hair and color. I’ve never had a better experience at a salon in my life. If you’re looking for a place that will finally do your hair justice, this is the place and Dolores is your person. I’ve honest never felt prettier after simply getting my hair cut. Dolores is so sweet and she makes me feel so comfortable. She’s honest about what will work for you and what won’t while at the same time making sure that you leave with exactly what you want. This is unquestionably the best salon you could go to.

Dolores is an expert in her field. She takes the time to understand the desired look and, also, explain the path to get there. She has helped me make my hair dreams come true time and time again. The salon is conveniently located right across from the Babylon train station. Inside, it is absolutely pristine. I highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for some color, a cut or a fabulous blowout!

I've been seeing Dolores for over 10 years following her to each salon she's work for to her the salon she now owns. I trust no one else with my curls and my hair cut and dying experiments. She both gives me what I want while also helping me know what style and colors are best for me. Gem of a human and incredible at what she does. Highly Highly recommend. I now drive from Brooklyn to LI just for her!!

When you walk in and meet the owner Dolores you feel like you're meeting an old friend from way back for brunch. She makes you feel so welcomed and really wants to understand what you want to make you feel your best and beautiful self! Dolores has taken my dark brown hair and gave me the perfect ashy blonde I've always wanted but others haven't achieved. She also stirs me away form making bad decisions like perhaps going to harsh on a haircut/hair color. Salon Protege is definitely now my always go to!

Dolores is an amazing hair artist! No other salon compares. I went in with ugly brownish, streaky bowl-style hair from another salon. I left with a new, improved, and exactly what I wanted hair coloring/painting and style. I left feeling great and even had more confidence in my appearance.
Dolores and Eugene made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. The salon was beautiful and spotless. A five-star rating is not enough for the quality and expertise I received.

This is a must go to salon. The owner has passion and KNOWLEDGE in all she does. Just amazing laid back feel but super beautiful salon to go to. An absolute gem. Love the area it's located in I come from Manhattan and I don't mind the commute I get to get some work down and the salon is literally steps away from train stop. So easy to get off and get back on. Five stars is not enough. Love this place

This was my first time having my hair done by Dolores and she did a fabulous job. She really put a lot of effort and time into my damaged, color imbalanced hair. She color corrected my messed up highlights, used toner, did a beautiful treatment and cut my hair EXACTLY the way I like. Her hard work is priceless. I 100% recommend her services.

What a great experience! I went in for a cut, balayage, conditioning treatment and glaze. I was not disappointed! I brought in a ton of inspiration photos and Dolores was very honest in her feedback in what could or couldn't be accomplished in the time and with the package I had purchased. She is a great listener; described what she could make happen and set really clear expectations. I felt really confident in her direction and vision and trusted her to execute it. I sprung for an extra $50 for the Olaplex treatment and am very glad I did. I already booked another appointment for 3 months

Literally the best hair experience I've ever had!!! Dolores is amazing! From the moment I contacted her to the moment I left, she was not only sweet and kind, but professional and helpful. This was my first time doing balayage and I wanted to do a purple/red color. She offered her opinion and proved she was knowledgeable. My haircut was amazing too, by far the best haircut I've ever had!! Again, Dolores offered her opinion on what would look good and gave me suggestions on styles. I highly recommend Dolores for any type of haircut--especially for people with curly hair. I discovered Dolores after asking someone with fabulous curls who cut their hair, and I'm so happy I asked! Dolores teaches you how to take care of your curls and will also blowout your hair straight for fun. Her clients all adore her, and her new salon is very quiet and relaxing. She recently did the hair for the ladies in my wedding, and everyone loved her. All different hair types and everyone was very happy, which is a huge feat!

I have been going to Dolores for about 3 year now, one of my longest relationships! Dolores does the most amazing job with extensions. My hair is relatively thin and has gotten progressively so over the years. I had toyed with the idea of getting extensions for a long time, but never really felt comfortable with the expense or with the damage I expected it to do to my hair. Dolores has never pressured or up-sold me into anything, and I can confidently say that after consistently coming for 3 years, that damage only occurs when you go to someone other than Dolores.
