Services
Alabama Physical Rehabilitation Service was established in 1979 by Jerry Klug, PT, DPT. Jerry started APRS to fill the need for quality physical therapy services in area schools and for home bound individuals. In 1990, the outpatient clinic was opened to provide Jacksonville with local access to outpatient physical therapy.
As part of APRS's services, the Aquatic Programs take a unique approach in helping participants improve their overall quality of life. These exercises are designed to help participants relieve stiffness, restore flexibility and attain normal joint movement. Most clients become deconditioned following injuries or surgeries.
As we age we tend to weaken. Although this is not a complete truth our lifestyles and activity levels reduce which causes us to lose our strength and functional ability. Certain disease entities, orthopedic and neurologic problems may enter into that equation at various times during our adult lives.
At APRS we have always worked with patients with joint replacements. From the smallest hand and foot joints to the Total Hip, Total Knee and Total Shoulder we stay up with the technology and Rehabilitation Protocols to address all your needs. We address each patient as an individual and not just a joint replacement patient.
APRS has developed a special program "Women's Health Initiative" to address the unique health concerns of women. Our Physical Therapists will evaluate your problem and develop an individualized treatment plan in coordination with your physician's medical plan. If you have one of these health concerns you might benefit from Physical Therapy.
