The Belltower Venue
The Belltower was built in 1896 by the Dutch Reformed Church in the historic cement Town of Rosendale, New York. When the congregation moved to neighboring Bloomington in 1971, the church and rectory house were purchased by the Rosendale Volunteer Firemen's Association. Since 1985, with the most recent change in ownership, the building became known as the Belltower, a studio for glass design and sculpture.

In 2012, the spacious main floor of the visually prominent Gothic-style brick building was transformed into a unique and welcoming venue for weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, private celebrations, fundraisers, conferences, seminars, and cultural events. We can accommodate accommodate up to 120 guests. The nave and guest hall is 2,500 sq ft in size and has high vaulted tin ceilings.
Services
Equally important to finding a venue is choosing a caterer who will enthuse your palate and be a resourceful partner in translating your vision into a successful reality. We highly recommend the following Hudson Valley caterers but also look forward to working with your choice of food service provider.

We happened by as the the owner Louis came out to l for a package. Lucky us! We had a nice chat and got to see the place from inside.. I'd always wondered what it was like. 😊The energy was great and I'm certain that Louis and Petra would really do everything to make your special day the best.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this space. ❤️

My (now) wife and I had our wedding reception at the Belltower on 9/21/19. We are so glad we did. Petra and Louis were the absolute best to work with. Petra was patient with our million questions and really took the time to make this day the best day of our lives. The Belltower itself is so beautiful and our guests were floored by how great the space was. You can just feel the love inside that place.
Thank you Petra and Louis from the bottom of our hearts. We will forever cherish our special day spent at the Belltower. You really made us feel at home.

My oh my! So many warm feelings about this space and petra and louis! I chose the belltower to be the space for my wedding reception. Best decision I've ever made, not only is the space breathtakingly beautiful, Petra and Louis were a dream to work with. It served also as the best "in case of rain" back up plan. So i ended up having my ceremony there too! The owners are super helpful in all the preparation leading up to the big day. They are very responsive, and have all the local recommendations you could possibly need. They truly care about your wedding being run perfectly and

My daughter was married here last weekend and it was spectactular. The venue is super cool, open, beautiful windows, floors, just all around a great space. Once we added our personal touches of candles, lights, tables, flowers, people & music, it was magical! The owners are amazing, down to earth, friendly and so accommodating. I would use this place again, for any special event! Thanks Petra and Louis!

Our son and daughter-in-law got married in this venue in late September. A beautiful space for 70 people. The owners are so kind and accommodating. At dusk the light came through the windows and the gentle lights made the venue magical.
A beautiful memory in a magical spot for our son and daughter-in-law. Thank you for all of your kindness and your beautiful venue.

My cousin got married here a few weeks ago, and in the invitation, described it as a beautiful space with this description: "Formerly a church, The Belltower has been a glassblowing studio since 1984. It was recently renovated by the super cool owners, Petra and Louis, and is a brand 'new' venue in the area."

It seemed rather small, but was the perfect size for their wedding (although, the way the tables were set up left very little room for dancing...). They have a stage in one corner, behind which was a curtained-off area they had set up as a photo booth. And in another corner
