Warning for bridal party and family who may be staying at the houses across the street: do NOT plan to shower on site or you will smell like sewage. While you'll be assured the sulfur smell is just from the raw water wells, the water will also spew black every once in a while and you cannot get over that hot sewage smell. Ladies, it will stay in your hair. For anyone who has their own well, it's not like the one at home; it's much, much worse.

As a new bride I was nervous about picking a venue that really spoke to me and my fiance. I wanted romantic, glam country chic he wanted to be outdoors and have a good time nothing stuffy. When stumbling upon barn theme weddings I found this hidden gem. Tucked away in the upper Hudson Valley was this perfect venue. Where to begin?! Frank and Rich are two amazing business owners that genuinely care about their clients. We got married at Crested Hen during covid and they were there for us every step of the way. The venue is beyond gorgeous and they take pristine care of the property. I could go on and on but if you're looking for a venue or considering having a wedding here, just do it! There are a ton of venues out there to choose from (and we considered many) but we could not have selected a better venue than Crested Hen. My husband and I had a wonderful experience getting married at Crested Hen Farms. Frank and Richie made us feel comfortable and welcome the first time we came to tour the property, and by the end of our wedding planning process they made us feel like family.
Everything was very well organized, and we appreciated that they had a barn full of items that we could borrow to decorate for the wedding (although everything is so well taken care of you don’t really need much!). Richie does a beautiful job of maintaining the grounds and planting new and beautiful trees and flowers.

If you want a beautiful, calm, natural venue this is the spot! Our daughter had her wedding here this August. The weather was perfect! No bugs! Frank and Rich are easy to work with, know the area well if you need recommendations, and they never pressure your decisions. You can tell they put a lot of heart into what they do.

My son and his,beautiful new,wife had their wedding ceremony by the brook under a huge buttonwood tree. The reception was inside the barn, Frank and Richie took great care of us. Memories that will last a lifetime.
