My grandson Ayrton Vergara was only 4.5 years old when his family decided to get him piano lessons. His father found him by chance via the internet and Shahin has been a blessing to the entire family. Shahin is a young talented musician with an intuitive nature who was able to get our young son to learn music in a focused manner; to sing with rhythm; to learn and love numbers through counting; and to learn how to read music.
To learn more about each style, visit its page in the drop-down menu under "What We Teach." Call (408) 809-3626 to schedule a lesson today (+ your own FREE trial lesson!) Though the essential building blocks of music are the same no matter what genre (melody, rhythm, and harmony), the most commonly practiced styles are classical piano, jazz piano, and contemporary or pop piano.
San Jose Piano Lessons employs a team of piano teachers with expertise in various styles of piano music. One of our most popular styles that we teach is jazz music. Jazz is appealing to those who like to play fun, groovy music and is great for parties. Jazz musicians heavily improvise, so a lot of jazz training includes intense focus on scales and how notes play with each other, as well as how to keep up a rhythm; more on this below.
San Jose Piano Lessons offers all styles, the most popular style being classical. Classical music is seen as a special, extremely unique type of music because of its unmatched ability to produce emotion both in those who play it and those who listen to it.
Classical music has so much potential to inspire emotionality in players that people often believe that performances involve exaggerated expressions on the part of the performer - but this is rarely the case!Classical music has that quality of sparking serious emotion, be it anger, sorrow, excitement, or anything else, in those who play it more than anything.

Do you ever hear a song on the radio that's so sweet, dreamy, or otherwise nice-sounding that you just have to learn how to play? Well there's good news: you can play it. Learning piano is not too difficult for anyone to do, especially if it's for modern-day pop or other contemporary piano music.
Typically made up of simple chord progressions and basic patterns, this style of music is a great starting point for students who are totally new to music.Chances are, there are modern songs that you hear enough to know exactly how they sound and what emotions are being conveyed, which really helps in the learning process for piano.
