If you think sandwiches are boring, you haven't pigged out at Wally's Deli, "Home of the Hog." Wally's doesn't skimp on the meat, and round rolls mean the meat and cheese are more evenly distributed than in a hoagie. Each Hog has its own dressing selected to best complement its flavor. Some contain homemade Thousand Island dressing, others have sauces made with horseradish or jalapeno sauce.
Owned by Susan and Walter "Wally" Roberts, Wally's Deli has been around for nearly 24 years. She runs the Emmaus shop he runs the Allentown shop, with their daughter Alisha. Both places are decorated with pigs, many of them gifts from customers. Among Specialty Hogs containing several kinds of meat are the Hoofty, Porky, Wilber, Curley, Squealer and Oinker.

I wish that I could say great things about this place I really do. Every once and awhile I get hungry for the Wally fish sandwich so I stop in and grab food and each time I remember exactly why I don’t frequent. Today is the first time I got kids meals with tax they’re about $6 and this is exactly how each one looks. The fish sandwich is great but over all I believe it to be overpriced and not worth it unless your going for one of their specialty sandwiches alone!

Wally's has lots of great sandwich's. Tried the reuben which was good but a little overloaded with salty kraut. The grilled cheesesteak was very, very good. Staff is extremely friendly and does a great job. Was there with my Mom and she had the tuna which she loved. My wife had the ham wrap which she highly recommends.

We used to love coming to Wally's, but we are no longer customers. My daughter has a medical condition and we are doing everything we can to keep her safe, including every now and again getting takeout from some of her favorite restaurants. However, my family's health is apparently not a concern to the staff at Wally's, as they were not wearing masks while making our food. I thought supporting a small business was important, but I would rather support any business that recognizes that the world is bigger than them. I hope one day you don't have to have concern about your child

Fabulous place to eat. Food is phenomenal. This small deli deserves the upmost respect along with , food quality, exceptional customer service. Must try the "Zinger with homeade potato chips". If your not from the area this is a great place to stop and relax and eat. The deli doesn't look like much from the outside but once you open the door your greeted and feel like your right at home. If I could I would clone everything about it in all aspects and take it back to Kansas and show them how it's done ! Excellence on every mark!!! This place even has a kids art museum in the

Despite a rise of COVID-19 cases everywhere around the country, Wally's Deli doesn't require its customers or even its employees to wear a mask. When someone complained on a different app, the response was "Thank you. We don't want you at Wally's anyway. Stay in your house."
Shocking that a business would respond this way at this point in time. They have been reported for violating state orders and made it perfectly clear they do not care. And since enforcement is difficult, they get away with it.
Infecting and killing off your customers might not be the best

The sandwiches here are huge. I ordered a small Wildebeast sandwich and I couldn't finish it all. It was really good. Savory deli meats, a fresh crunch to the veggies, great sauce, and the bread was also very tasty. I recommend this as a lunch stop or to provide a sandwich tray for the office or a party.

Took 25 minutes to get a turkey club. The reason they were "so busy" is purely employment. For a high traffic area you need people that doesn't need to read an order 3 or 4 times to put one condiment on an over priced sandwhich. 12 dollars for a sloppy a** sandwhich that falls apart before they even get it to the paper they wrapped it in is absolutely ridiculous.

Breakfast is the best around. From the Hen House four egg/ two meat breakfast burrito and the Cheesy Hen, a trike decker breakfast grilled cheese with two meats, to the homemade creamed chipped beef, it's all tremendous. The sandwiches are second to none in this area, and far and away the most creative. The Razorback is my personal favorite. Wally makes a lot of his items in house. I can't say enough about how absolutely teriffic this place is. It's a must try and institution on Allentown's west end.
